The chain tickler by Sportsheets is a toy used for sensory play. It is basically a stick with lengths of chain attached to it at one end. You can run it over every inch, every crevice, every space of your partner's body to provide some fun sensations.

Since it is made of metal it is also great for temperature play. Throw it in the freezer, dip it in hot or cold water and you have a completely new sensation. The metal balls will hold the temperature quite well and you can run your hot or cold metal tickler all over your partner's body.

This is really a foreplay toy. It is good for getting your partner in the mood, because I cannot really think of a good way to use this during actual sex. If you had your hands free you could run this over their body at the same time, but that seems difficult and not that much fun.

For a more painful experience you could use this as a metal flogger. You could whip your partner with the chain beads and get some serious impact, but that would not be for everyone. Definitely would require a person so self identify as a masochist. I tired whipping myself with this toy and it was alright, but the lengths are very awkward. The chain section is very short, while the handle is very long making it awkward, but it is possible.

I think this is a great toy for anyone. It is going to add some new sensations for foreplay. You can add a blindfold to heighten the experience. You could add some bondage. You could add ice and alternate between hot and cold sensations. It is quite versatile and very beginner friendly. I would consider this quite light play. If you look at the toy it is very non-intimidating. I would consider this toy to really be an alternative to a feather teaser or a very small flogger like Lelo has.

The toy consists of two main parts. The shaft and the metal beads.
The shaft is aprox. 15 inches long
The beads are aprox 5 inches long

I personally think the shaft of the toy is too long. Being 15 inches away from your partner is too far during foreplay in my opinion. I think the toy would benefit from being in the 5-10 inches range for the handle allowing you to get closer and more intimate with your partner. That being said it is not a huge problem and I still enjoy using this toy.

The handle of the toy is made out of plastic. It is your typical handle you might see on any object with a plastic handle. It is flexible, but the plastic is firm and is unlikely to snap unless you put a lot of weight and force on it. I do not imagine this toy will break from normal use anytime within the next 5 years. The plastic seems durable and the beads are firmly attached and just running it over someone is not going to put any force on the beads. If you use this as a flogger I can see the beads breaking. They are a bit flimsy. Overall the toy works. It is relatively easy to run if over your partner's body and get the foreplay and stimulation you want.

It would also be nice if it had a small loop so you could hang this toy up. But again nothing major, just something that would potentially be useful.

If using it as a flogger I think it works okay but not great. As I mentioned you do not have enough chain in my opinion to swing, so you have to use short choppy swings that just are not very fun. I would rather buy an actual chain flogger if that is what I want. You can find them online relatively cheap (often around 30 dollars)

The materials of this toy are plastic (safety rating of 8) and metal (safety rating of 9). Both are nice materials. You do not really have to worry about safety. You can just give it a quick cleaning after use. Both are non-porous so they are not going to harbor any bacteria or nasties which is nice. The metal might rust, but if you wipe it off after use and store it in a dry place you should have no problems.

Overall this is a great toy. It is quite inexpensive and it provides some unique sensations. I prefer it slightly over a feather. I like the cool metals balls more so than a feather. I do however like my small Lelo flogger more than this toy, but that being said it is still a great toy.

The sensations are fun, and unique compared to any other toy I have, and the ability of the toy to hold temperature is unique to it. I have not experimented using this toy with hot and cold very much yet, but I expect that once I do I will enjoy it more and more.

There is not much to say about it. It provides temperature play and fun tickling/rolling/erotic sensation that is great. Overall it performs simply, but well.

If you do use it as a flogger it performs okay. It will be very stingy and quite painful, but if you like pain it might be a good toy before to try before deciding to buy an actual chain flogger.

This toy is very easy to take care of. After use I just wash it with warm soapy water and antibacterial soap. I do not think you would ever need to really sterilize this toy, because it is doubtful it will come in contact with any bodily fluids.

Because the toy is made out of plastic you cannot boil this toy or stick it in the dishwasher as the plastic would melt, but it is possible to put it in a mixture of 10% bleach to sterilize it. You could do this if you were using this toy with more than one partner.

In terms of storage you can stick it anywhere. You will want to keep the metal dry, so it does not rust. I store mine in a large plastic tupperware container. It is cool and dry and a good place to store it.

The toy has very little packaging. Just a small piece of cardboard attached saying the product name and showing a picture. It gives a couple of tips on the back, but nothing super unique that you would not think of yourself. It is not the most discreet item ever. I would wait until you have some privacy before opening your EF box. Here is a photo of how it comes.


Overall a very minimalist packing that I like. I do not think you need to have unnecessary packaging. The cardboard piece with the photo can be recycled.
