There isn't a single thing I like about these ties. When I pulled them out for the review, I asked my husband what he remembered from our first use his response was, "These things suck!" and I couldn't disagree.

The product image makes them look so fun and glamorous. Not cuffs, but not rope--something different and exciting. In reality, they aren't easy to use, they aren't suitable for anything except very light bondage, and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone with OCD.

First, initially trying to figure out how to even tie them as a restraint is difficult, and the bendable cord isn't easy to work with. After only the first use, the ties have kinks in them that you will need to work out, and the black covering is twisted around and pulls thin in places.

It feels like it's constructed with wire in the center, foam wrapping, and a thin cover over it. It may hold up over time if you take the time and patience to work out the kinks each use. The cover material certainly isn't soft and rubs uncomfortably against my skin. The foam also doesn't provide much cushion and creates a pinch against my wrist bones.

We only used these on my wrist, and it took us a few tries to figure out how to bind me without being able to wiggle lose. The end result was some mixture of tight wrapping and twists. They instantly made my boney wrist uncomfortable. Once we started getting hot and heavy, the ties had to go. I withstood as much as I could, but moving around pulled them loose and I took them off.

When I later picked up the ties to put them away, I realized that the twisting caused mini kinks that I had to work out, but I wasn't able to get them to completely straighten out again. I kept them fully extended and put them on my closet shelf. They could be folded over, but I think it would put strain on the wire and foam. Even straight in my closet, they tend to take up more space then an alternative. I haven't cleaned them or had a reason to. I would think only a light hand-washing would be acceptable.

The packing was simple. The twisting made it work to get them to straighten out. No instructions included, and the pictures weren't too helpful.

If you are looking for something fun and cute as a very light play toy for bondage, this item might be good for you. Otherwise, stick with something like rope or silk ties.

My husband HATED trying to get me tied up in these. They were hard to "tie", too short to secure tightly, and overall...disappointing.
