The Perfect Accessory for the Submissive Fashonista
If you are looking for cute and shiny cuffs that won't be taking a huge beating in the bedroom and you don't mind shelling out a bit of cash for them, then these are the cuffs for you. If you are a more practical person who is looking for very sturdy cuffs for heavy sessions, these are not the cuffs for you.

Only one cuff in a set, expensive rhinestones come loose easily
The Marylin Wrist cuff is a fun accessory to use as a bracelet. They are made to look like bondage cuff with a little bit of extra flair to them. However, they are really not very practical to use for bondage purposes. I think the cuff would be great for anyone who would like to wear a kink-inspired accessory and wouldn't mind letting the people around them know it. It is also fun to use for a BDSM inpired photoshoot if you're into that sort of thing.
There is only one in a set. So if you want to have a pair, make sure that you buy a second one.
The design of the cuffs have some great things as well as some things that could definitely be improved upon. The leather is pretty strong. there is a metal D ring and some rivets to hold it in place. Even though the metal is thin it is pretty sturdy and hasn't bent or anything like that during use. So far hasn't begun to tarnish any at all and has kept it's shiny silver look. The rhinestones are very shiny and sparkle brilliantly in the light.
I don't think the craftsmanship is that great on these cuffs unfortunately. When my package arrived I was thrilled to find such beautiful cuffs and I put them on right away. I was wearing a long sleeve t-shirt at the time and the rhinestones of one of the cuffs snagged on it and started falling off right away. I took a picture so you can see it. I had these on for less than 10 minutes before this happened. It was easy enough to fix with super glue, but I was pretty disappointed to have to repair them so quickly. I learned my lesson and will only be wearing these while wearing short sleeves from now on!
The cuffs close with a buckle that is similar to a very small belt buckle. It will not lock like many cuffs, but it will stay securely on. Even with some tugging and pulling it is able to stay put and has not shown any signs that it will break under normal use.
The size is pretty small, and will fit wrists that are 6.5-7.5 inches in circumference. There are three holes to size the cuff, each being .5" apart. It is a little bit under an inch wide, so it is thinner than most wrist restraints.
The cuffs are made out of leather, and it is very stiff and a little uncomfortable at first. It has broken in and softened up as I've worn it a few times and I believe it will continue to do so. I don't think it will ever be my most comfortable piece of jewelry I own, but it's not really bothersome to wear.
I only tried this briefly as a restraint. It made me nervous to use that way because the rhinestones snag so easily. However, the d-rings did hold pretty securely even though they were thinner than those I have seen on other cuffs. They aren't very comfortable to use for restraint and frankly it's probably best just to get another set cuffs if you want to use them for bondage.
For use as jewelry it is pretty similar to other bracelets in its performance. It does just what a bracelet should do. It stays in place an looks pretty. As long as a little bit of care is taken with the rhinestones, it should hold up very well as a piece of jewelry.
Because the cuff is made of leather, it may take some special care to clean and take care of. If they get dirty, either wipe it down with a damp cloth or use a leather cleaner. Be careful when wiping them down, the rhinestones snag easily and may come off. Your best bet is probably to keep it clean in the first place and try to avoid letting it get too dirty.
Store your cuff in a dry place that is out of the sunlight. It could easily be stored in the plastic pouch that it comes in if you choose to keep it. I like to keep mine in my jewelry box.
These actually look really cute when they're on. I bought two of them so that I would be able to have a pair to wear as a set of cuffs. I don't wear them out in public much especially since I live in a conservative part of the country. I do wear them to BDSM events though and I always get a lot of compliments when I wear them.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore5 months after original review
I still think this cuff is just the cutest thing. I wish it was better quality though. I find myself having to repair it nearly every time I wear it. I love the look, and I get a lot of compliments when I wear these (I bought two to make a pair) to BDSM events. However, if I had known I was going to have to repair these so often, I would have skipped them.
