This fluffy ostrich feather happens to be a very great feather to add to anyone's collection. Looking around pet stores to other places there are few feathers as soft and functional. This feather doesn't scream, "I am a sex toy!". I have it in a vase in my apartment because it is so beautiful.

Tracing along the body seems to be the use we've found. It cannot be spun easily due to the curve in the feather. I'm sure there are many other ways this can be used as well!

The odd colors could make you question if these feathers are manufactured. The plastic stick is a nice length that resembles the length of a stick for a cat toy. It seems to be a good quality. The rubbery plastic end of the stick engulfs the rest of the shaft of the feather until the feathery part begins. There is no worry that this feather will fall out or be removed. It probably can be if someone really wanted it to be taken out. The feather being purposely removed isn't under its normal expected use.

Yes, this happens to be a great toy in my (small yet growing) collection that performs wonderfully. It was my favorite feather at one point a while ago and it is still in use. I can see this feather having other applications if someone didn't like it as much. It could be used as a cat toy to a decorative piece in someone's home.

There isn't much you can do for cleaning. Normally you could use this in soapy water and have it out to dry on its own. Since, this feather is dyed it is not a good idea. Just keep it from getting smashed and not letting any strange liquids from touching it. Even if it did get smashed it probably won't break.

Over a long period of time these feathers can dry out and lose a certain look. When this happens shake it out between your hands. Next you take a pan of boiling water and have the feather over the steam for a little bit. This should return a fluffy look.

I picked this feather out in a novelty store. The red was a beautiful burgundy. Each feather seemed a little different in size and curl. I chose one of the longer ones, but to be honest they are all appealing. There shouldn't be any worry getting one in the mail as they are hardy and can stand the travel.

This would be harder feather to use side by side due to the length of the stick and feather. Sometimes my partner stands beside the bed and wraps the feather around from a further distance. Overall this is a nice feather, but I wished it had more than one way to tickle like the stardust fantasy tickler. This is not possible because of the feathers dynamics. Overall, we love this feather.
