The Best Color in Bondage is Pink

Who says restraints have to be leather? Who says they have to be uncomfortable? Who says they have to be black? Not this reviewer! These cuffs will complement whatever game you are playing, keeping your victim...I mean partner...right where you want him (or her) to be.

Use

Sportsheets has created a set of tether cuffs that will withstand whatever amount of struggling your partner does to escape from them. That is to say, they won't escape. These Kinky Pinky Cuffs are meant to be used as either wrist cuffs or ankle cuffs, or perhaps one of each. The choice is up to you. As affordable as they are, you might choose to buy two pairs, so that you can have your lover spread eagle or hog tied, as fits your mood.

This set would be a great investment for beginners in bondage or more advanced users. Beginners may find the hot pink faux fur to be less scary than traditional leather or metal cuffs. Advanced users will see past the color and realize that these cuffs are made for business...naughty business.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

Kinky Pinky Cuffs sport a hot pink faux fur cuff with a nylon tether attached to the back of the cuff. They fasten with a Velcro strip that can be adjusted for a tight fit around your victim's...I mean partner's...wrist or ankle. The total length of the cuff plus tether is about three feet long. The cuff section is about ten inches long and two inches wide.

The tethers and Velcro are sewn to the faux fur cuffs, and they are attached very well. No matter how you pull at these, the seams do not rip. That is a good thing when you are talking about bondage gear. You don't want your partner tearing up your toys while they are thrashing about in a fit of pleasure.

The faux fur is delightfully soft. It will not chafe your partner's wrists or ankles no matter how long you keep them restrained. If they become uncomfortable, it will be from the position, not from the material in these cuffs. They will not leave a mark.

The tethers are strong enough to keep your partner tied in place. You can tie their arms or legs far apart, attaching the tethers to bedposts or bondage sheets, or closer together, say to a kitchen chair, or even to each other. Personally, I would make sure that their hands were far enough apart to keep from reaching the Velcro on another cuff. You don't want them to escape.

As noted, the cuff part is about ten inches across, so if your intended play partner has wrists or ankles wider than this, the fabric of the cuffs would not meet. If there is a negative to this set, that is it.

Performance

Sportsheets' Kinky Pinky Cuffs lived up to, and exceeded my expectations. They are strong, durable, well-made, comfortable, and just darn cute. As long as they fit the wrists and/or ankles of your intended play partner, I cannot imagine any reason why someone would go with any other type of cuffs. For me, forget the leather, forget the metal handcuffs. I want to tie my partner up in the luxurious feel of faux fur. If he is going to feel any discomfort, I want it to be intentional, from whatever sort of fun I am inflicting on him, not from the chafing of his cuffs.

One thing that I discovered is that it would be possible to Velcro the two cuffs together to make a neck collar with tethers on either side. A collar made in such a way would fit up to a twenty inch neck.
    • Comfortable during use
    • Easy to put on / use
    • Holds up to use well

Care and Maintenance

Since the cuffs are faux fur, it would be best to hand wash these to clean them. Hang the cuffs up to dry.

For storage, just roll them up and stick the cuffs in whatever you use for a toybox.
    • Easy to store

Experience

Aside from their conventional use, I used these cuffs in a photo shoot, strapping my ankles to a kitchen chair. They were quite effective. No matter how I moved, the cuffs did not loosen at all. In fact, movement made the knot in the tethers tighten. They work the same way in the bedroom.
Follow-up commentary
I still think these cuffs are great. They are so comfortable no matter how long you have them on. There are no scratchy edges like on leather cuffs, so they never chafe. They are strong and durable, and easy to clean - toss in the washer, then hang to dry. For the price, they can't be beat.
