Tether me here, tether me there
If you're looking for some good, simple tethers I don't think you can beat this set from Sportsheets. The clasps are secure but easy to use and they're fully adjustable. Whatever you're looking to do restraint wise these tethers make it possible. They're compatible with any type of cuff that has a ring.

Pros
fully adjustable, easy to wash, well made
Cons
if they were just a tad bit longer I could use them joined together under my mattress
Tethers are so multipurpose that I think just about anyone who dabbles in some kind of BDSM or restraint play can find a use for them. What I like about these is how simple they are. These tethers are made from nylon with hard plastic buckles and equipped with simple to use metal clasps. The metal clasps rotate fully so if you need to turn your hand once you have these on you can do so without twisting the entire tether.
These tethers are easily adjustable up to 48 inches. The straps adjust just like a back pack's straps would, so they can be shortened down to the length of the adjuster itself. If you need a longer tether you can always connect the two tethers in the middle. This is nice if you're looking to use the tethers under a mattress or something of that sort. Just be aware that if you have a king sized mattress they might not reach how you want them.
There's a few ways to use the tethers. Since there is a clasp on each end you could loop the tether around an object such as the leg of a bed, a rail on a headboard, or a table leg. Doing it this way you could hook a cuff to each end of the tether. Any cuff that has a ring would work with these tethers as the clasp is the same kind that you'd find on a dog leash, you just press down, slide in the ring and release. It's super easy even if your hands are a bit slippery. You can also use one tether for each cuff and loop the tether around something and then attach it to itself. The tethers are thin enough that if you fold them in half you can easily put the clasp around it. I actually prefer it this way since it offers more restraint by customizing the length to allow less movement.
I actually bought this set to go with another Sportsheets set that I have that only came with two tethers. I wanted another set so that I could have my husband restrain both my arms and my legs. We attach these to the legs of the bed and once they're attached he can tighten them to where they need to be. They're just black and don't call much attention to themselves so when we're not using them I just stick the tethers with cuffs attached between the mattress and the box spring and no one is ever the wiser.
The craftmanship of the tethers is wonderful and everything is reinforced. There's no concern that one of these will end up ripping if you pull too hard. The adjusters stay in place well too and even wiggling around will not cause them to loosen. The only way to loosen them is to actually pull up on the plastic adjuster and then pull. The cuffs end up close to the adjuster so if you try hard you will probably be able to reach it with your own hand to release it. If you are able to do this on both sides it's possible to then free yourself from the restraint. For me I like this since it gives me a little safety if anything was to happen, but if you're looking to truly be restrained with no hopes of freeing yourself this might not be the best choice.
If lets say you don't own a pair of cuffs you could use the tethers as a makeshift pair of cuffs, though I don't expect they'll be all that comfortable since the nylon isn't really meant to be wrapped tightly around your skin. But, you could manage it by looping the tether around something and then securing each wrist with the clasp. Just remember, I didn't say this would be comfortable and if there is much pulling it's quite possible you'd get a friction burn this way.
You can wash these tethers in the washing machine or just hand wash them. I don't find mine really get dirty since they don't actually even touch my skin except when they're being put on. The packaging that they come in is a clamshell plastic container and if you want to store these tethers between uses rather then leaving them attached the box makes a great storage place for them.
