To understand how to use this toy, it is helpful to understand how the device works. To explain electricity, I will use a racetrack analogy. The starting line is the battery; before the race starts, the cars are all waiting at the start line. However, once the race starts, which is analogous to turning on the device, the cars move around the track. Now imagine that the cars are super smart and they can sense if there is a section of the track that is missing. They will not leave the starting line unless there is a complete loop for them to travel. In this analogy, the race cars represent the electric current. If an electronic device doesn't have a complete path from one side of the battery to the other, the electric current will not run through the circuit at all!


This device has two separate modes, the "in-mode" and the "out-mode."


"In-Mode" makes the controller itself a stimulator. To complete the circuit and feel the electricity flow through your body, you need to simultaneously touch both the top electrode and the bottom electrode to your skin. You can use the "in-mode" stimulator on your hands to relax sore muscles. You can put a finger on each electrode to produce electric pulses that send tingles up and down your arms. When you use two fingers on the same hand, the pulses are stronger than when you use one finger from your right hand and one finger from your left hand. When you use a finger from each hand, the current needs to travel up your arms and through your torso to reach the other finger. This is a much greater distance than simply traveling from one finger through your palm to another finger on the same hand. Therefore, there is more resistance in the circuit and the electric current will be weaker. To get the strongest pulse, use two fingers on the same hand. I found that brushing the stimulator’s electrodes across my body did not produce any noticeable effect. However, I did notice small shocks when I ran the stimulator across my cheeks.


"Out-Mode" allows the current to travel through the nipple clamps when they are plugged into the electrode jack. Similar to the stimulator in the "in-mode," the nipple clamps have two electrodes, one on each clamp. When both clamps are attached to your skin, you will feel the electric pulses. However, if only one clamp is connected, you will not feel anything. Therefore, the easiest way to use these clamps is to place one on each nipple. You can also attach the clamps to your (or your partner's) labia majora. Unlike vibrating toys that reverberate throughout your whole pelvis when inserted into your ass or vagina, electric toys have electric pulses that are concentrated at the contact point, where electrode touches your skin. So, to receive noticeable electric pulses on my clit, I needed to place one clamp directly on my clitoris (rather than the clitoral hood) and the other on my labia majora.

This is a great toy for couples as well as solo play. I found that this toy was great for long distance relationships since the electric stimulation produces visible reactions from the user such as squirming, clenching the bed sheets, or moaning. This toy is pretty small and would be easy to pack up and bring with you on a kinky vacation.

The included CR2032 battery slips into the compartment on the back of the controller. You will need to hold the battery down as you slide the cover back into place as the battery does not stay put without something to hold it down. I make sure to take the battery out after every use to prevent the inadvertent draining of the battery during storage. I recommend storing the battery, controller, and nipple clamps in a sandwich-sized plastic bag to keep all of the small pieces in one place.



This toy does not need to be cleaned after every use unless you choose to use water-based lube to aid in the conductivity of the electrodes to your skin or if you get very wet like me and your arousal gets all over the clamps. To clean the toy, I would recommend using toy wipes like the "Eden Toy and Body Wipes." Do not use water to wash this toy as water and electronics do not play well together.

This toy came in contoured clam shell packaging. I found this to be sufficient protection, especially since the product was shipped in a box with air pockets as cushioning. The instructions, which say "EdenFantasys E-Stim Product Line," are visible when you look at the back of the packaging. So, you may want to wait to open this package until after your family gathering. Inside of the clam shell package was the controller, instructions, battery, nipple clamp attachment, and wrist strap.



I found the instructions helpful since they explained how the different functions such as the mode switch worked. I wish the instructions included a sentence or two reminding people that the circuit needs to be closed for the electric current to flow through the device. This is an important point to note, since it is essential to connect both nipple clamps in the "out-mode" and to touch the top and bottom electrodes in the "in-mode" to receive an electric current.
