This toy is described as a "tickler" but I'd call it a "sensation toy". The metal balls feel luxurious draped across the skin. When used without any preparation, they feel a bit chilly. The chains can be drawn across the body anywhere, including the most sensitive areas which is an excellent warm up for solo play. It can also be used as foreplay between partners who are inflicting sensation on one another. However, sensation play reaches its height when one partner is blindfolded (or even restrained) while the other applies unexpected sensations of many different types.

With a supply of hot and cold liquid nearby, you can warm and cool the chains quickly for changing the temperature as you tease your partner. You can mix it up by tracing lines along their skin with the rubber handle, or adding other sensation toys to the mix, such as massage candles, feather ticklers, or vibrators.

I would not recommend using this toy as a flogger. The metal balls can leave bruises if applied with force and it may not be obvious at the time that the impact is that severe. It would be possible to injure your partner without realizing it. Unless you're a very experienced BDSM practitioner, stick with teasing. There are safer toys for inflicting consensual pain.

The Chain Tickler is 20" long from the top of the handle to the end of the chains. The stick is 15" and made of a hard plastic that has a bit of whippiness to it. At the top of the stick, there is a different type of plastic to make a handle, with a shiny PVC like texture and the same shiny plastic is at the bottom end of the handle where the chains emerge. There are six ball chains, each of them 5" long with 4mm balls.

I can't tell how the chains are attached, because of the plastic covering, but they show no signs of coming loose. The entire toy is very lightweight while retaining a sturdy feel.

The handle is completely black with silver coloured metal balls. The entire look and build is simple and clean. I find it amazing that this toy can sell for such a low price.

My partner loves to use this toy on me to get me warmed up - or chilled down. He's discovered that swirling the chains over my nipples is a shortcut to bringing me out in chill bumps all over. Of course, my favourite use is when he drags it between my labia, but he's such a tease - he always makes me wait for that until he's done what seems like every inch of my body, other than that!

Wash with soap and water or a toy cleaner, and dry the metal balls well so they don't rust. I would not consider this a safe toy for sharing, since it can't be sterilized and there are places where fluids can catch.

It's small enough that it can easily fit in a drawer for storage, and it doesn't need any sort of special care. One downside is that there is no built in loop to hang it up, though it might be possible to rig something that would work, such as a ribbon loop tied with a slip knot below the handle, with a dab of glue to keep it from coming loose.
