Sportcuff Review
Even though I use these more for scratching with the Velcro, than for restraining, they are an easy pair of cuffs to use. They don't make much noise, and they are lightweight. Great for travel! They have many uses and are a great addition to anyone's toy box.

Pros
Velcro can be used for scratching, lightweight, easy to clean, quiet, many uses.
Cons
Don't restrain well.
My boyfriend and I love this toy. But not for the reason you'd probably think of.
Made from black neoprene and Velcro these sportcuffs stay clean for the most part, but are easy to clean with a damp cloth and some water. They don't crease, and look the same as the day we got them about a year ago.
They flex very easily, and the Velcro itself is pretty strong. However, it's easy for me to get out of them if I try. I love how they can adjust to small wrists or larger ones, unlike many cuffs which are too large for me. They are also great to use on the ankles, and restrain much better there. If the hands are restrained with other cuffs, you cannot get these off your feet. I also love the hook clasp. It's different. It makes it very easy to disconnect the cuffs during play, and it's easy to tie them up individually or together to rope or chain.
But, these cuffs are not the most hardcore. They're easy to pack, lightweight, and quiet except when ripping the Velcro. But then it just sounds like Velcro that could be coming from something else. They're more discreet than cuffs made of metal, which can clang. However, they are easy to get out of, and they don't hurt in the good way around the wrist that metal cuffs can. They also can chafe a little bit, so extended wear can cause a slight rash.
My boyfriend and I use the Velcro feature of these cuffs to cause skin abrasions, or scratches, on purpose. It's fun to texture play with these. Actually, we prefer traditional metal cuffs while using the Velcro of these on my ass or back. The scratches are pretty intense for Velcro! And it doesn't damage the toy at all. The scrapes heal fairly quickly and the process creates a very unique feeling. The sound is a little jarring, but the scratching is an awesome little feature that we enjoy from these Sportcuffs.
Overall, the cuffs are good for some things, but not the best restraining tools in the world. We're glad we discovered the alternate use of the Velcro, though! These cuffs get a surprising amount of use.

Follow-up commentary

The velcro on these babies just didn't do it for me. Maybe I would have liked them more without the velcro, or with a softer material, or a material that didn't give my wrists rashes. Maybe I would still be using them if I hadn't gotten a pair of faux fur-lined leather cuffs. Probably. But even before that, these were at the bottom of my toy bag, and I was more likely to use either rope or metal cuffs than these.

So basically more suitable for partners that are perhaps into light bondage play? Good review chicka. I wouldn't think these would be suitable for more heavier play.

Thanks! Yeah, um. That's a hard question. I'd say they're better for lighter restraining play on the hands and on the feet if the hands are not secured. If the hands are secured, they work great for more intense play on the feet. (Because you can't get them off). And probably for more intense play because of the velcro scratching, but not everyone does that haha.
