The Sex and Mischief satin blindfold is a pretty straightforward blindfold. It can be worn for sensory play, in which the wearer will be deprived of the sense of sight thus sharpening the other senses. If sensory play isn’t for you, this blindfold also makes a good sleeping mask or to revel something to the wearer. For couple desiring complete darkness for sensory play, this mask isn’t for you, as it does not completely block out all light.

The main part of the blindfold is a long oval that is 7 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide. The perimeter is covered by a fleece-like feeling material, and the inside is a silky smooth material. As it turns out both are polyester. There are no indentions for your nose, so you can wear the blindfold anyway you choose, even reversing as, as both sides are identical. The stitching that binds the outside fleece like material is immaculate, but it does cause some puckering on the smooth material. On the inside of the mask is a polyester batten that provides some softness to the blindfold and helps to block out light.





The blindfold is secured to the wearer by two black elastic straps that are 9 ½ inches long unstretched and easy stretch past 16 inches. The straps are stretchy enough to accommodate a variety of sizes of heads while still being comfortable, and they stay in place very well.

When removed from the package, there was no noticeable smell on the blindfold, nor is there a noticeable smell when wearing it. As usual I didn’t taste this item, because I can’t think of a reason it would be in someone’s mouth.

As a sleeping mask this works fantastic as it is comfortable and blocks out most light, however if you have plans to use this for sensory play you might way to reconsider. The design is slightly flawed because there is no indent for the nose, so the mask does not lay flat and allows light in through the bottom. Another slight issue I had was a strange cracking noise the masks at any slight move. This wasn’t a problem for me, but if you are annoyed by constant sound you may want to take that into consideration.

This blindfold comes in a flat paperboard envelope. It isn’t especially discreet since it has the words ‘Sex and Mischief on the front, but as a mask it is easily explained. On the back is the material information along with the beginning of a story that can be finished by scanning the provided QR code.

I would have to give this a pass for sensory play since it doesn't block out all of the light like I would like, but as a sleeping mask it is perfection. I do wish that it had an indent so it would lay more flat against my nose, but since it is not uncomfortable that is something I am willing to let go.
