Silk, Soft, but Could Use Improvements
While this doesn't come out-of-the-box as the perfect blindfold, it can be modified a bit make it work a bit better. The silk does feel luxurious and the blindfold just looks downright sexy.

Pros
Gorgeous colors and the silk feels luxurious
Cons
Elastic makes the blindfold too tight and it doesn't completely block out light
The Intima Silk Blindfold is a new product from the LELO bondage series line. It's a gorgeous silk blindfold that comes in three luscious colors - red, purple, or black. All three colors look very sensual. Unlike many blindfolds, this one comes with two options for securing - there is a piece of elastic and the silk ties themselves. The blindfold itself is about two inches wide and is also made of pure silk. It's extremely, extremely soft-feeling and I was really thrilled to get to review it. I was expecting a high quality blindfold that would be just as luxurious as the rest of the LELO products that we own.
Just like other LELO products, this one comes with the gorgeous outer box that opens up to slide out with another sleek, black box. When you pull off the top cover of the black box, there is some high-quality, white tissue paper that covers up the blindfold. The blindfold is neatly folded in the box. After you've used the blindfold, it's pretty easy to fold it back up and place it back into the box.
Basically, how this was intended to work seems to be that you can slip the blindfold over your head and the elastic will hold it up to your head comfortably. However, if the elastic is too loose, you can choose to use the ties that are attached to the blindfold to make it even tighter. The elastic is definitely industrial elastic and is not going to stretch out for a very, very long time. Even if I attempted to stretch it out before use, it would go back to "regular" within minutes.
The blindfold is definitely of a high-quality silk, but I'm really sad to report that it just doesn't seem to work for us, straight-out-of-the-package as a blindfold. When Jor slips it over his head, within a minute he wants it off because he says the elastic makes it too tight around his head for comfortable use. Within that minute, he was complaining that his head was throbbing really painfully. Along with that, because it's so tight, it presses down on the eyes really tightly which makes it impossible to open your eyes.
This has been a hard review for me to write. It seems that what I consider a con, many people consider a plus. I really want to like this blindfold, I do and have gone back and forth on whether to actually give it a bad rating or not since it just seems like it's our own problem with it. But after letting our roommate-couple try it as well as hearing feedback from other owners on Twitter, it apparently just isn't us. Both Jor and I wear contacts. While we can pretty much use any blindfold on the market, this one just presses *way* too tightly onto our eyes for comfortable use. Our roommate-couple had the same problem. However, from feedback on Twitter and looking at other blindfold reviews, apparently, some people consider it a bad thing if a blindfold is loose enough where you can open your eyes underneath it. That's something I never knew. We both considered it painful, uncomfortable, and a con.
Even if you do manage to get it on (this was an interesting feat to attempt - me holding the elastic "loose" while Jor tried this), it appears that the blindfold doesn't entirely block out the light. You can still pretty easily peak out from underneath the blindfold - about the same as most blindfolds really. This has been confirmed by a friend on Twitter as well. On this aspect, I feel like the blindfold also fell short. For the amount that this costs, I'd really expect it to be a pretty awesome blindfold.

Experience
So we did what we thought we could to try and fix it and make it usable. My art student friend ended up taking a pair of fabric scissors and cutting right along the elastic piece on both ends to remove the elastic piece on the blindfold while still keeping the nice "ends" of the blindfold to use it as a regular blindfold that can tie behind the head. The blindfold is much, much more comfortable and actually can function as a comfortable blindfold now. However, on all four people we tried it on, you can still see around the blindfold pretty usually. Usually it's not from the top - on all four people, they could see underneath the blindfold for a little bit. I feel like a more pronounced "nose curve", this could have been avoided.
The blindfold is made from luxurious silk. One side of the blindfold has little designs etched into it and we usually made that face outwards because it's a little rougher. However, on the other side, it's just pure, basic silk fabric that's very, very soft against the skin. It was pleasurable to feel against the skin.
So how do I feel about this? I'm split. It can make a decent blindfold after it's been modified, but even then, I'm a little concerned because of the price tag. I feel like, for something of this price, there should have been more quality and lots more planning involved. Maybe it just didn't work for us, but I wish it would have worked out better in the end. For someone who has a small head or is looking for a luxurious blindfold, this will fit the bill though.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
This is still a "meh". I honestly would not recommend this blindfold to anyone unfortunately. Anyone I've talked to says this blindfold is extremely, extremely tight, and I agree. However, after we did the modifications, it did end up being much looser and easier to use, but still not amazing. It's hard to get the silk to tie to itself and stay there.
We've found better blindfolds to be made by Spartacus (our current favorite is the blindfold from the Divinity line). They're much more comfortable, block out all light (as compared to some with this blindfold), and stay on the head. We just don't use this blindfold anymore - it just doesn't have the staying power nor the quality.
