While the cuffs are textured, you won't feel this texture against your wrists, as the cuffs are padded beneath and have a soft, smooth feel that is cushioned slightly. They're designed with an ordinary buckle, and they do not come with a locking mechanism in order to restrain your partner even more securely, however, the buckle is sufficient in keeping them on. The cuffs measure 14 inches in overall length (to the end of the strap) and 11 inches from one end of the cuff to the other, while the cuffs are 2-1/2 inches wide. They should fit most people, even those with bigger wrists should find a comfortable fit in these, and the cuffs can even double as ankle cuffs if you have smaller ankles. However, if you have larger ankles, these will not fit.

The Passionate cuffs offer a stylish and affordable option that's not only easy on the budget, but beautiful and sturdy in the bedroom. They are adjustable up to six different sizes, and are fairly easy to take on and off, whether by yourself or with a partner.

The cuffs are comfortable and sturdy, and the stitching is done well enough on these cuffs that I am absolutely sure they will not unravel or fall apart. When putting them on, I noticed that the cuffs are slightly loose, and it's difficult to tighten them alone, but a partner may be able to help with this problem if you're not an in between size. What I mean by that is in between the adjustments on the cuffs themselves, and if you are in-between, then the cuff will either be slightly loose or too-tight. However, the loose side of it did not slip off, even with lots of struggle and tugging on my part, and the cuffs fit snugly on my partner's wrists, so it will vary from wrist sizes. Neither of us were able to slip the cuff over our hands once we had them secured in the buckle.

You can handcuff your partner from behind, in the front, or use the d-rings on the cuffs for slipping bondage rope through and securing them to bedposts or other posts or rails. Always use safe words or gestures when practicing restraints or other BDSM related activities. Do not use these cuffs for suspension practices as they were not made for that, and could cause serious injury if used in that manner. When my partner and I used these, we first put them on ourselves and tugged and struggled, seeing how well they stood up to force. The links and swivel hook both stood up to the pressure, and the cuffs themselves showed no sign of giving in any capacity. The cuffs didn't chafe or cause irritation to the skin, even after prolonged use (around 1-1/2 hours).

Overall the only gripe about these cuffs is the fit, and the fact they're pretty stiff when you first get them, so it's slightly harder to keep the cuff in place if you're buckling it on your own without help, but, this is a great set of cuffs, and I foresee using these time and time again in the bedroom during playtime.

The cuffs can be cared for easily. After use they can be wiped down with a mild soap and water on a damp cloth. Do not thoroughly soak the cuffs as the back of them has a sort of foam for the padding and this may dry rot if it were to get wet. Once the cuffs are wiped down with the soapy cloth, thoroughly wipe them down with a clean damp cloth without soap until you are sure that the soap has been thoroughly removed. Dry the cuffs off with a dry towel, or allow them to air dry. Once dried, store the cuffs either in the original packaging or in a toy chest or drawer that is cool, dry, and away from direct sunlight.

If the cuffs become damaged in any way, you can always stitch them on the sewing machine if the stitches become loose or frayed. Should the foam-like backing of these become deteriorated, you can improvise by padding them with another soft material, or toss the cuffs altogether. With proper care and handling, the cuffs should last the user a long time.

The Passionate cuffs were packaged minimally and in hassle-free packaging. They came inside of a cardboard box without any other plastic or padding inside, so the cuffs were left to move around freely. Users will be able to play with these cuffs straight out of the box. On the packaging, there were pictures of the cuffs and some minimal information about the cuffs, along with a warning on the back of the box. The box is not discreet, so wrapping it in gift wrap or placing it inside of a gift bag is necessary if gifting this to someone.

Shipping was discreet and minimal, as the cuffs were shipped in a plain, unmarked box. The to and from addresses were the only thing on the outside of the box, and there was no indication as to the contents inside. EdenFantasys is not listed on the box either, so postal workers won't know that this is an adult item unless they google the shipping address out of curiosity. All of this packaging, including the box the cuffs come inside of, can be recycled.
