Rosy Skin from a Rosy Whip

This whip is basic and general. It is not exciting or well-crafted. On the other hand, it is cheap so if you are curious about using a whip, this might be one you could try out first, to see if you enjoy the overall experience.

Use

This isn't for the weak of heart; this Pink Play Erotic Whip is intended for those with medium to advanced pain levels.

During play, the whip will sting upon contact, so it is for two (or more) persons aware of the pain that it will inflict. It is intended for those involved in domination-submission (BDSM) play. Don't expect to wear a swimsuit the next day as it leaves marks; but do expect your skin to sting in the shower afterward.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

The obvious feel of this whip is that of leather. The material is indeed leather, aside from the handle which is a wood handle wrapped in leather. The wood part pokes through the bottom of the handle, which is not aesthetically appealing.

The length of each fall, of which there are 15, is approximately 24 inches, and both the leather strap attached to the handle and the handle itself are five inches in length.

Each tassel piece is constructed of two leather sides; one is a smooth leather while the opposing side is suede. These sides are glued together to form each tassel, but several of the tassels have started to separate after just several uses. Because of this, I would venture to say it is not a well-crafted whip.

Performance

I have used this Pink Play Whip 3 times, with an approximate usage of ten minutes over the entire 3 times. Because of this, I do not think that it would hold up for an extended period of time or multiple uses as it is already seemingly falling to pieces.

Since my boyfriend and I were trying to decide whether or not to venture towards using whips in our BDSM adventures, we chose this pink whip specifically because of the inexpensive price. With this preface, I admit that it did not work as well as I would have hoped... but I did not expect too much. It tangles easily, which is bothersome and slightly annoying for the persons involved. Essentially, you get what you pay for.

Personal comments

Since BDSM is something that each partner needs to feel completely comfortable with, a good idea to address is to have a safety word so that there is acknowledgment of when enough is too much.

This toy might be cute and pink, but it offers massive amount of sting. One way to lessen the sting is for the person using the whip to wrap it around his or her hand before using the whip. The shorter length can help alleviate some of the burn and pain, while not abolishing it completely.

You have some good tips. How would you clean it? How do you store it, were there any kinks in the tails when you received it? I would add more detail to the review.

Also are you sure this a harsh stinging flogger would be ideally suited for a beginner in pain play?
