Everyone loves accessories, especially when they are sex-cessories, and I am no exception.  I love wearing collars, and one this pretty was certainly not to be passed up.  Black and silver are my colors of choice, so it was an easy decision to make--this was *the* collar for me.

I got this beauty just in time; I was on my way to a fetish party, so I tore open my box as I was getting ready.  The collar was just as, if not more, goregous in person as it was when I saw it on the site.  The silver is foil bonded to the leather, which is really pretty, and something I haven't seen before.

My one issue with the design was that the foiled leather was slightly bigger (width wise) that the collar leather to which it was attached, making it a little flimsy.  It definitely wasn't delicate, however, just more so than I would have preferred.

That night, I wore the collar to a fetish event, and got more than one compliment about it. Granted, I don't know if you could actually use it for bondage|Bondage and fetish - BDSM toys & accessories, as there is no "O" ring through the "D" ring, and I'm also not sure how secure it is; but as far as pulling someone close to you to kiss, or just for beauty, it works wonderously.

As the night wore on, I noticed that the Renaissance Collar|Renaissance collar kept turing to put the clasp in the back, making the "D" ring off center, which was fine once or twice, but started to drive me crazy!  I'm not quite sure of any solutions to this.  Otherwise, the collar was quite comfy, and I didn't even realize that I was wearing it most of the time.

Overall, this collar is goregous, and looks just as good with jeans and a tank top as it does with a corset and 5" heels.  Absolutely stunning!
Follow-up commentary
I've worn this a few more times, and none of the silver has come off, as many of you have asked.

However, I have learned that when transporting it, to be careful not to bend it too much, because the leather is thinner, and does start to wrinkle more and more over time.

    It looks beautiful!

"Foil" sounds like tin foil or something. Does the silver scratch off with your fingernail or something?

It can be all about the aesthetics sometimes. It looks very hot and corset worthy.

It's foil imprinted onto the leather, and doesn't scratch off as far as  I know. Kind of like gold leaf imprinted onto things, if that makes sense...

You'll have to play with more and let us know how it holds up!

Looks absolutely gorgeous. Any chance of an HNT with it later on?

Hi! I'm the maker and designer of the collar and thought I'd chime in with a few answers. The leather I use has a silver finish to start with (think colored leather on a car seat or a leather skirt) and then I etch the black design into the leather - it's a bit of a tricky process, but that way the silver won't "fleck" or scratch off. Also the width of the silver leather is a bit thicker than the "strap" on the back for a design reason - the edge will look thinner and more elegant on the neck (I thought this out quite a bit!) I really want to create treasures for people to celebrate with and hope you like the design. Warmly, Vivi at Radiance Bound.

Dee- there may well be a HNT. In fact, I wore it to the Dinah Mardi Grad.

That certainly is a beautiful collar. I hope you publish a follow-up review once you've played with it a bit more!

Will do. I wore it at Dinah Shore for a party; still comfy, still beautiful, still holding up well!

Wow--I have about a dozen corsets just begging to be accented with this collar.  I've even got a few everyday shirts it would probably perk up, since it doesn't have an overly BDSM look to it.  And oh, the envy it would provoke at my favorite goth club!

Have you tried double-sided fashion tape to hold it in place?
  • Contributor: Essin' Em
I don't believe in double sided tape, not since I saw J.Lo use it to hold up a dress ages ago.  I feel it should just...stay.  Maybe I need someone to keep grabbing it, and then it won't turn around :)

It probably turns because one side is heavier than the other. Perhaps if you make it really, really tight....
  • Contributor: Essin' Em
I think you're right; it has to do with a buckle.

And yes, wearing it really really tight might help.  It also might cut off my air supply :)
