This could be a cute pink gag gift or if you are really looking for more fantasy than reality BDSM, this might be enough for you. It's more of a Scaredy Cat Safe Set than a Bad Kitty Soft Set. I would advise most to look elsewhere for something smoother and more pleasant (e.g. satin or silk), rougher (e.g. leather, suede, or fake leather), or maybe just a little cheaper.

Pros
Vibrant pink Velcro adjustable cuffs NO risk of injury
Cons
Felt is not sensually pleasing Not durable Cheaper sets available
There are three pieces to this set (four if you count the cuffs individually) and they can be used in one session together or individually. The pieces are pretty small and flexible, so they can be stored just about anywhere, such as in the back of a drawer if discretion is important, and definitely travel friendly with the D-rings being the only metal parts, so no issues with airport security.
The flogger is definitely not going to hurt, there's no sting at all, even with the sharpest swipe we could muster. The felt is a little thicker and heavier than I was expecting so the "whipping" did register, but with no satisfying crack or real impact; think hitting someone with a dry t-shirt. Soaking the flogger in water provided a little more impact but mainly provided temperature play as the water tended to spray out the end instead of adding momentum.
The restraints are comfortable and well sewn. Depending how small your wrists are, you will be able to engage more or less of the Velcro, which will provide more stability, but even with all the velcro attached, this set should not be used for suspension. The cords allow you to be creative and anchor anywhere, including in bathrooms, kitchens, wherever you want to go. It's hard to imagine the felt cutting off circulation, but watch out for any numbness or discoloration on the hands or feet.
The blindfold can add sensory play, heightening the other senses by taking away sight. The elastic band has no adjustment but could be tied to tighten it.
Felt is not an ideal material for bondage; it's more suited to crafting than carnality. The felt mask irritated my partner's face and did not provide a very good fit for her or me, which is not surprising considering it has a "one-size-fits-all" strap with no adjustability. She accidentally tore several strips from the flogger when she was blindfolded. The cuffs did not chafe either of us and the double stitching held up to some pretty intense tugging. Everything pink is felt.
The polyester rope ties are 31 1/2" (80 cm) long and removable from the cuff D-rings. The flogger handle is split leather as referred to on the packaging. The cuffs are 10 3/8" (26 cm) long by 2" (5 cm) wide, so the max wrist size is probably 8 3/8" circumference. Any larger and you won't get much tension without getting loose, and even one inch of attachment is not that strong. The packaging actually advises 9 cm to 22 cm diameter, which is about 3 1/2" (!) to 8 1/2". Don't worry about getting out in a pinch, you should be able to undo the velcro or at worst case could probably tear through the felt if it's really an emergency. The D-rings on the cuffs allow you to change attachments, so if you have another set of clips or want to use longer cords or ropes or something that is an option.
We were initially frustrated that we did not have a headboard to tie onto, but once we discovered the cords would reach the bedside handles we were in business, and I think we'll use the cuffs again. The mask did not stay on my wife since it is not adjustable, she could see around it, it was itchy, and she likes to be able to see anyway. The flogger was a disappointment but it was not the main draw of the set for us.
As mentioned in the materials section, we ripped strands from the flogger by pulling it too tightly, so be careful with that. The cuffs are the same thickness but wider, so they have held up well from a few uses so far. Felt is very fragile, don't machine wash or really subject it to anything very rough, light rubbing is probably the best you can do. I certainly wouldn't try bleach or boiling, but as long as you are not touching genitals or open wounds with any of the pieces you could probably use the kit with someone else, although the directions advise against sharing to prevent diseases and infections.
The packaging is not very discreet, with 5 bared nipples on the thin cardboard box. All items were inside a plastic bag inside the box, with the directions.
There are brief directions in 9 (!) languages, but the directions seem to be generic instructions for all Bad Kitty sets, including hand cuffs that were not part of this set. The manufacturer does ask that you recycle the packaging rather than throw it out.
My partner wanted to try bondage and the flogger was a bonus, so we decided to try this set because she is very sensitive and we wanted to make sure neither of us would get hurt. This set definitely ensures that. I'm not sure we were satisfied with the experience but I'm sure we will try something like this again.
This was one of the first times we really experimented with being tied to something. The cuffs were suitable for that, but you could probably get some strips of satin or silk from a fabric store and--with a few knots--make a cheaper and more sensually appealing set of restraints. These were the main appeal of the set. The blindfold is slightly below par, it works as long ask you keep your eyes closed, but it won't fall off. The flogger is a joke. Actually, the whole set made me feel silly, like a children's toy (and as a parent, I find a children's BDSM set kind of shocking, even if it is ostensibly harmless). It's tough to be intimidating wielding a pink, felt flogger.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it3 months after original review
I see this in our closet from time to time but it hasn't really been on my mind. We did use the blindfold last night and one of the cuffs to tie our son's hand behind his back at the table because he was eating with his hand (not the intended use, I am sure), but nothing else has gotten use since the review. The cuff helped our son use his flatware better with some parental oversight, and the blindfold covered my eyes but not very well, the band was not terribly effective and it was more of a reminder that I had to keep my own eyes closed. All in all, I would pass on this one, there are probably better sets for the price.
