If being restrained or restraining someone else makes your heart beat a bit faster, these cuffs are for you. The vegan jaguar cuffs are good for light to heavy bondage play and everything in between. They are great for intimate bedroom play, but would also be great for other BDSM play. Cuff 'em up and tickle, tease, flog, torture, whatever floats your boat. They are not made for suspension, but would be great for any other restraint system. Just remember to keep it sane and consensual. We are light bondage players and these are a nice addition to our toybox.

You will need hooks or ropes to attach them. No hardware is included. If you want to lock them, you'll need a padlock. We use them with our under the bed restraint system and snap hooks from Sportsheets.

I own the black pair, but they are also available in red.

The cuffs are made from a synthetic leather. No animals were used in these cuffs. Animal lovers can buy them without any guilt at all. I did not detect any smell to these at all. Some have reported a slight leather smell, but mine were odorless.



The cuffs are made very well and should last a long time. There is a strap two inches wide with another one inch wide strap sewn on top. They are sewn together as well as having rivets to secure them. The smaller strap is centered evenly and very secure. The stitches are even without any stray threads anywhere. I don't have any complaints about the construction of these.

Most of the rivets do not go through completely to the underside. A layer of material is on top of the rivets so they do not touch flesh. The only exception is a lone rivet that holds the Aslan Leather tag. I thought the tag would be annoying and perhaps a bit itchy. But, it wasn't bothersome at all. The cuffs were very comfortable even with the tag.



The belt buckle is securely attached. An interesting feature is the locable clasp. Notice on the picture, the clasp of the buckle is a loop instead of a standard prong. This means you can lock the cuffs on. With a lock in place there is no way to escape the cuffs. You'll have to buy your own lock though. It's not included with the purchase. A standard padlock with keys would work well.




The only flaw I could find was the metal loop to keep the strap down. The loop is located quite close to the buckle. When the first 3 notches are used, the loop does a good job of holding down the flap. The fourth notch is OK, but at the last two notches, there is excess strap just kind of hanging. It doesn't impede use in any way. It's just a bit annoying to have the extra material flapping around.

There are six belt notches so they should fit a variety of sizes. Anything from 6.5 to 8.5 inches will work. I am plus size and they fit well on the third notch for my wrists. I can also use them on my ankles closing them at the first notch.

The D-ring is nickel plated. I am not sure if the rest of the hardware is, but I assume so.

The jaguar cuffs are the sturdiest cuffs we own to date. (The rest of our collection is velcro.) They are comfortable and strong, and they are visually appealing. The vegan leather and metal rivets scream serious bondage play. Of course, our play is teasing mixed with light pain. So for us the leather and metal rivets don't scream as much as talk really loudly. But still these would be great for serious play.


I don't wear them for long stretches of time. Forty-five minutes is the longest time I've had them on. For that amount of time they do not chafe or itch. I did not even notice itching where the tag & rivet are located. They don't leave any redness on my wrists after taking them off. They also don't cause excess sweating. I found them to be very comfortable. They are a bit stiff right now, but I expect them to soften and be more pliable as we use them more.

We haven't used the lock function and doubt we ever will. I can't get out of these on my own unless my hands are close together. I can put them myself, but can't get them as tight as I would like. It's much better when my husband puts them on me.

We haven't tested the upper limits of these cuffs, since light bondage is our game. However, I imagine they can take quite a bit of abuse. They are made very well and would be great for heavy bondage players. With them on and restrained, you would be at the total mercy of your partner. Wherever you are on the bondage spectrum these would work well.

The care for the vegan faux leather is the same as genuine leather. Wipe them down with a cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Wipe off the excess liquid. Pat dry immediately, getting all the moisture out. When dry, store the cuffs in a cool dry place away from direct heat and light.

Never soak or submerge in water.
Don't hang to dry. Always dry completely after cleaning.
The metal rivets can be coated with clear nail polish to prevent tarnishing.
A leather conditioner can be used if it shows signs of dryness.

Aslan guarantees this product for life. If it breaks during normal wear or is defective they will repair or replace the item. Their website is listed on the tag.

These were packaged in the most environmentally friendly manner possibe. It was just the cuffs hooked together with a small tag with care instructions attached. No plastic or boxes to throw away. Also nothing to store them in.
