This collar is worth every cent! I would recommend this to any one who is new to collars or anyone looking for something nicer than what they already have. It really is a beautiful and well made piece, that I hope to enjoy for many years to come!

Pros
High quality leather, soft and comfortable. Pretty but plain design allows for discreet public wear.
Cons
Generous length requires something to hold the extra leather in place.
I want to start by saying that I have been through many collars. The first was too cheaply made to be good for anything. Others have been great for the rough sex play, but too thick or uncomfortable in some way to prevent me from wearing them out in public very often. I have been on a long search for the perfect collar. One that would hold up to the rough play, but also be simple enough to wear in public without too much notice. This has been tougher than you might think, but I am happy to say that the search is finally over!
This collar is PERFECT, in every way. It is well made and durable, holds up to strenuous use, and is nice enough to wear out with almost any outfit, without it looking out of place or drawing too much attention.
Indeed, you could pass this off as a nice choker, with no one knowing the real reason you are wearing it.
This collar is made with top quality leather. It is smooth and soft and the most comfortable collar I have ever put on. I have the large size and it fits me very well, with lots of room to spare. It is hard at times to find dainty collars to fit someone who is on the larger side. I usually end up with a very thick "manly" collar, because the ones made with females in mind are always too small. The only problem I have is that it really is a generous length, so it leaves more of the strap hanging out than I would like. It needs a little metal slide like some belts have to keep the extra length in place. I will be looking into getting one from a friend of mine who works in leather.
The buckle on the back is great too. The design makes it possible to keep it exactly in the middle, no matter how tight or loose you make it, instead off to the side like some of the others I own.
This product has everything I have ever looked for in a collar. The leather is very smooth and supple. In fact, I have never felt leather this nice on any thing other than expensive shoes or bags. Certainly not on any of the sex toys or restraints that I have seen. The design is functional and simple, but still very attractive. This is my first Leatherbeaten product, and I am hooked! I can't wait to get more of their other products!
I use Saddle Soap on all of my leather because it uses less chemicals than many other leather cleaners. I have been wearing it a lot, so I haven't had any need to store it. I take it off and sit it on my dresser, so it will be there when I need it.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it1 month after original review
I still use this collar several times a week. I wear it anytime we go out and when my Daddy calls me from work and instructs me to put it on. I love the way it feels, so simple, but so sexy. It has held up to some pretty rough use. The D ring is a little small, but it works. We use this collar more for "show" than anything else though.

Hi Maiden
Glad you liked the little thing! If you find there is excess leather on the collar, you can also trim it to a custom fit using a sharp box cutter type knife with a straight edge on a decent cutting surface!

How does the buckle stay in the center in the back?
Maiden
Thanks, Bill! I do love it! I had thought about cutting it, but it's so beautiful! I will if I have to, but it shouldn't be a problem to get a little metal slide to hold it in place!
The buckle isn't attached to the leather, Sammi. Each end of the leather has holes for adjustment. It is a little hard to explain, but maybe you can get the idea from the picture. Both ends slide into the buckle, one resting on the inside, one on the outside. It was a little tricky at first to figure out, but it does keep the buckle centered. Also, I was afraid the buckle would be irritating, but it isn't. I have pretty sensitive skin and was able to wear it all day with out even noticing the buckle.

Ha! Okay, I know that no one will believe this, but my dorky aunt voted on my review while it was logged on under my name. She has an account too, and wanted to see my review. I was already logged in, so when she read it she voted out of habit. So ,yes, it looks like I voted for myself.
Unfortunately, I emailed Gary about removing it, and it cannot be done
He said I could say something about it on the review.... so here it is...lol
Sir
Great review, Maiden. I agree that the buckle is hard to explain, as I am not sure of what its exact name is. It's good that the larger size fit you though and that you and your Daddy were able to enjoy it! It is really a simple, adorable collar. Leatherbeaten is great.

Sir - it's called a Conway buckle.

Thanks, Sir. My Daddy does love it on me; he hardly lets me take it off!
