Peacock Tickler

A tickler with a shimmering green quality, the peacock feather tickler has an appeal for a creating a scene (or atmosphere). The tickler's two feathers are very fragile yet they can still hold their own. These feathers can break over time if not taken care of with the utmost care. As long as it is watched over well the peacock tickler is a decent product.

Use

The peacock feather tickler can be used by any couple for any circumstance (within reason), but this specific feather seems to be better suited for a planned special night with a burst of sensation play. The glimmering strands can't take rough tickling or even play fighting. The plastic stick may be moved back and forth more roughly to tickle. If a partner is fighting back while tickling the feather may get damaged. One of the best uses for this feather is creating light sensation while tracing along the body.

This product could be a great part of a costumed scene. Photographers specifically may love this item added to their collection as a prop. I've seen it before in photographs here and there. I have never have seen it with the whole stick exposed before.

Some items that may match this feather or go well added extra to a scene:

Zomi Silk Bondage Set
Rainbow Nights Paddle
Strapless Bustier and G-String

My opinions of this specific tickler are not of the highest regard. The length of the stick allows for more movement of the feather with less effort. The two peacock feathers happen to be very fragile and would benefit greatly if the stick size was cut in half. This would allow for gentile strokes to happen more easily.

Two of the main benefits of this feather in particular is its beauty and its unique feeling. The longer feathery strands produce a stronger, bumpy feeling yet they are slightly soft. This part of the feather can be twirled a little. The eye of the feather and it's top point creates the best sensation for the peacock feather. The strands become completely smooth with tiny feathers and produces a soft feeling that is meant to be directed and traced a long the body.

The peacock feather's colors are wonderful. Every tiny little strand of feather glows in the sunlight. There are mostly vibrant greens. The eye of the feather has a very deep golden brown, blue, black, and hint of purple. The off set of the feather's colors is a darker brown that even almost looks black. This feather gives off an exotic or even royal appeal.

One negative aspect is the feather feels fragile. During the first week of owning this feather one of the strands have broke in half. It was devastating because I didn't know what I did or when it happened. Since then this feather hasn't been used except for special occasions. Keep it as a precaution to be careful. Other feathers when they get damaged a little they don't show it as much, the peacock feather will not recover as well if many strands are breaking. In other words the feather doesn't have a lot of fluff to hide mistakes. On the upside this feather in general is still in tacked and looks wonderful.

Size specifics:

Stick length: 12 inches
Handle Length: 3 1/2 inches
Stick and Handle Length: 15 1/2 inches

Feather length: 6 1/2 inches
Feather width: 2 inches

Total Length: 22 inches
Number of feathers: 2

The feather that I own isn't even close to being as long as the peacock feather shown in the photo. Their length came out to be 26 inches meaning my feather is 4 inches shorter.

Performance

Before I have ever owned a tickler, one of my original associations of feathers and sensation play was the peacock feather. The peacock feather may always hold some kind of symbolism and association with sensation play. When I received this tickler I was surprised there wasn't more feather compared to the stick. When you imagine peacock feathers you generally think of them as being long. The feeling is very nice, but overall it doesn't impress me as much as other feathers.

There are some benefits to having this feather in a collection as long as the risk of breaking it is realized. Overall, the feather feels nice and can be used in different ways. I have not had as much experience with this specific product as others due to being slightly scared of harming it. This has been carted back and forth once or twice during road trips. These feathers can stand for lasting performance as it didn't lose any strands during the drive. The peacock tickler has also lasted play sessions with out harm.

Care and Maintenance

Peacock feathers can be washed gently with soap and water and allowed to soak. The feather didn't lose any of its shine. Still, the best care is to not combine any strange liquids with feathers.

(Another form of play could be to take a wet feather on to your partner.)

Packaging

The peacock feather tickler that I have was ordered off of another site. Eden Fantasys may have it shipped slightly different than stated here:

Packaging for this tickler was a longer rectangular box of a small size and width. The feather was wrapped in white tissue paper. This specific feather didn't get damaged from the trip, but other ticklers may possibly get damage from rough shipping.

Experience

The peacock tickler's length makes it hard to be closer to your partner while tickling. My partner will usually stand next to the bed or another further distance while using this item. We both like this tickler. He likes it more than I do currently.

Very cute feather. I've been thinking about expanding my collection with some new ticklers, but I haven't done it yet. Thanks for the review, though.

Yeah, I kinda dislike the fact that it is fragile. It still is a good feather. I'm going to wait a while and see how well it holds up. Then I'll update the review at a later date. Smile

In your opinion are ticklers really worth it? Dont you think other things around the house can easily substitute in a pinch?
  • Contributor: BlessedRaven
It really depends on the person and what kind of sensation they would like. I don't have anything as soft as a feather within my home. Other objects can create great sensations. I bet creative minds can find things that will work out in the moment. It's all in the imagination. Smile

For me personally touch is a really big deal. My whole body is ticklish. The more ticklish an area is the more sexual/ a turn on it can be. So, feathers have become a beneficial part of my sexual life. Never thought about ever trying them till my partner introduced them. He wasn't very surprised I liked them so much. He isn't ticklish at all and they don't do anything for him. So, I believe feathers may be hit or miss with some people and couples.

I was thinking about getting the book Erotic Tickling sometime. It might be a while, but I can get back to you about what they might suggest in their items for around the home. Smile
