As my partner and I were discussing new toys that I could add to my collection, he brought up his love of ball gags. Wanting to impress him, I immediately went out and purchased two ball gags. I purchased two as I wanted to make sure that I got one that both he and I would love. The first ball gag I received was a complete flop (it was the Breathable Ball Gag). This one, however... oh, I was in love at first sight!

This product is a great choice for beginners, but advanced users will enjoy it to. The small size makes it comfortable to wear, even for those of us that have small mouths. The fact that the ball has some "squish" to it also helps in making this a great choice for anyone.

Gags are primarily used in couples play, but there's no reason that a solo user can't wear a ball gag if that's what turns them on. Personally, I prefer to use this gag with a partner.

My partner and I use this ball gag more for the look than anything else. He finds the look of the ball gag to be incredibly sexy, whereas I find wearing it turns me on almost immediately.

Other people might choose to use this to help silence their submissive partner. You should be aware, however, that this gag will not keep your partner from screaming, moaning, or groaning; it'll just make it so that they can't really say anything in an understandable manner.

Now, another thing to take into account when using ball gags is that they'll probably make your partner drool a bit. This gag doesn't make me drool as much as the Breathable Ball Gag did, but it still makes me drool a fair amount.

I really enjoy the design, craftsman ship, and general material of this piece. It's certainly a quality item.

My favorite part of this design is the ball itself. The ball measures 1 1/2", which is perfect for my small mouth. The ball is made out of silicone, which rates as a 10 on Eden's safety scale -- making it completely safe. I love that the ball is made out of a 100% safe material, especially it's going to be sitting in my mouth for awhile when I use it. The silicone ball is very squishy, so it's fairly comfortable for extended use. The ball in the photograph on the product page features the Sparticus logo, however my ball did not feature this logo.

The straps on this gag are made out of leather. The leather isn't expensive leather, of course, but it does feel like quality leather. It's soft and flexible, which makes it quite comfortable. The part that goes against the wearers head has a soft lining. The exterior part has the standard smooth, leathery finish. The leather is more of a matte black than anything else, which I think is kind of pretty.

The little piece that goes through the ball gag itself is interesting... I was expecting this piece to be made out of nylon, as it appears to be in the product pictures. In reality, it was actually made out of leather! That was a nice surprise, as the leather looks MUCH nicer than the nylon does. This little piece that holds the actual ball is removable for easy cleaning -- another nice feature!

To take apart the ball gag, you simply unsnap the center piece. It unsnaps where the little buttons with the Sparticus logo are located. At this point, you simply slide the straps, and the ball off. You're then free to wash the ball properly, if you choose to. To put it back together, you simply do the reverse of that -- it's really very simple.

The closure on this ball gag is great. It's your basic buckle closure. It doesn't lock, so it's not going to be for those of you who are seeking something a bit more hardcore, but it should serve most peoples needs. The great thing about the buckle closure is that you have multiple setting choices, so you can pick the one that best fits you (or your partner). There are 11 possible closure settings, so this really should fit most people properly.

Now... my one complaint about the design of this ball gag is that the front straps of the gag are a little thick, which can feel a bit uncomfortable after awhile. The straps tend to leave little marks on my face, but the marks due fade within minutes of removing the gag.

Last but not least..smell and taste. This gag doesn't have any detectable odors, nor does it have any detectable taste.

This gag was a great choice for me. I found its small size comfortable, yet it still gave me the feeling of being "controlled", which is what I was seeking. I find the appearance of the gag to be simple, yet unbelievably sexy. I'm definitely happy that I made this purchase!

Caring for this gag is a simple task. I tend to simply wipe it down with a toy wipe, as I feel that that gets the job done. If you feel you need to do more, you can easily disassemble the gag, and then boil the silicone ball. You DO NOT want to boil the leather straps, however. To clean the straps, you're going to want to stick to wiping them down with a toy wipe, or something similar.

As for storage? I simply keep this in a plastic bag in a box with my other BDSM toys.
