Oh, The Level Of Disappointment!

I can't even begin to say the level of disappointment I have with this bondage kit. This kit comes with one fitted sheet, four cuffs, four anchor pads, and one demonstration DVD. This is everything you need to get started. It's beginner friendly because of the cuffs included, but those are replaceable. The anchor pads and cuffs will slowly become unusable as the Velcro starts to pick up hair and lint, so note that it won't likely last a lifetime.

Use

The Bondage bed sheet set comes in bed sizes Queen and King. Inside this set you get one fitted sheet, four cuffs, four Velcro anchor pads, and one demonstration DVD. The purpose of this set is to be a bondage restraint system.

According to the demonstration DVD, Sportsheets designed the fitted sheet to easily fit you bed and allow it to be discreetly covered with your usual fitted sheet. The video had the anchor pads and cuffs tucked away under the bed, so easy access is possible.

This product is designed with every level of user in mind with the exception of the cuffs, but those are replaceable. The anchor pads can be placed as far or as close together as a person wants because the Velcro anchor pads attach anywhere on the fitted sheet. This leaves room for your imagination to run wild by allowing multiple positions. If you are worried about how to escape, don't be! All you have to do is slip your fingers under the anchor pads and peel one up to release yourself from the restraints. You can pull and pull all you want, but there is no pulling off these anchor pads without getting under them. However, overtime the Velcro will collect lint and other dust bunnies making it less effective, so you don't want to continually remove them.

Cuffs:

Collar:

The four cuffs are made of Neoprene with nylon straps that have stitched on Velcro for closures. Two out of the four cuffs have metal clips, but all four have metal keyring O rings. The cuffs are very comfortable, but if you have a larger circumference the Velcro might be rubbing your skin, which might cause a rug burn. These aren't the best cuffs, because they are meant to be more beginner friendly. However, they can be replaced with any cuffs that have O rings, so they can be attached to the anchor pads. Each cuff is 1.75" thick and 15.5" long. They are best fitted on someone with ankles or wrist that measure 14.5" in circumference and under with the smallest being around 5.5" in circumference. The Video and box show two cuffs combining together to become a collar. If you were to do this the collar would be best fitted on someone with a neck circumference of 15" - 21".

Anchor Pads:

The Anchor pads are made of Nylon with Velcro backs. The nylon front is a bright blue color, with the black trim to stitch the back. There is a single black nylon strip up the front with a single keyring O ring with a metal clamps. There are four of these anchor pads. The rectangle shape measures 6" by 8". These can be attached anywhere on the fitted sheet. These pads are decent quality, but they won't last forever because Velcro can collect lint to the point where it's no longer useable.

Material: (See the lint)

The fitted sheet is made of 100% Nylon, but it feels like fleece. It collects a lot of dust bunnies and lint! The material is itchy and catches on every hand nail or piece of dry skin. It's designed to fit like any other fitted sheet, but there are two straps; one at each corner, under the mattress, and adjusted by a single plastic piece; to help secure the sheet onto the bed. Each corner is split along the trim, so there is a draw string to pull to fit the bed firmly. This draw string is tighten with a single plastic piece that is in one corner. The Queen is 68.5" long, 13.5" tall, 57" wide, and has two adjustable straps that are 8" - 72". (See diagram below.)

Performance

The cuffs are nice because they are comfortable. However, most people who are willing to invest in something this expensive will be more advanced in their play, so they might be totally useless to those who actually purchase this bondage set. You can replace the cuffs, but buying another $50-100 times two (wrist and ankles) can get very expensive along with this already well overpriced set.

My wrist are 6.5" in circumference and my ankles are 9". There was plenty of room for larger sizes. My neck is 14.5" in circumference, so the two cuffs as a collar don't work that well for me. My neck is too thin.

The anchor pads are great because they allow you to move around in a variety of positions. However, since they can be removed by peeling the Velcro, you can wear them out overtime by doing so. The Velcro sticks to everything it comes in contact with, so you will have to peel them off of everything; which is annoying.

The fitted sheet is the biggest disappointment. The material is awful. It's the most uncomfortable material ever! It's itchy on my dry skin and catches on everything from nails to dry skin on my heels. The material is really thick, so you sweat in an already sweaty situation.

If you think it will fit a Full size bed, you are wrong. A Queen and a Full are very different in size. I tested it on both. No matter how much you adjust it, it's not going to fit a Full. When I put it on my bed, I had a hell of a time doing it alone. This is definitely a two person job. You have to lift up your mattress and a put the sheet on. Adjust everything the best you can, lay it down, and see if that is as tight as it needs to be. If it is not, you must lift and continue. Once you actually get it on right, you are never going to want to take it off again, because of the hassle you went through. So, sportsheets recommends you cover it with your usual sheet. However, this isn't the best solution because it causes your usual sheet to not fit properly. Your usual sheet will roll up as you sleep and you will wake laying on this uncomfortable sheet.

Care and Maintenance

The cuffs and the anchor pads don't need much cleaning unless you actually get something on them. If you do get something on them, wiping them down with a damp cloth should do the trick. You can use soap if necessary. The fitted sheet can be washed and dried in the machine. The tag says to machine wash with warm water and tumble dry on low. The tag also notes that fitted sheet is known to collect pet hair, but this is an under statement. As soon as I pulled it out the the box, it was covered. Everything that floats around the house sticks to this sheet. So, you are going to want to wash it regularly.

Sportsheets recommends storing the fitted sheet on the bed and covering with a sheet already, but leaving the cuffs attached to the anchor pads and sliding them under the bed. I don't recommend this because it's uncomfortable and doesn't allow your sheet to fit properly. So, that means you will have to go through the hassle of removing it and putting it back every time you want to use it. You should store it in come kind of bag to help protect it from lint. I would recommend a back pack, tote bag, or something along those lines. I would store the cuffs and the anchor pads with the sheet. The anchor pads should be stored with the black Velcro touching each other, so they stick together instead of to other things.

Packaging

This set came in a cardboard box that isn't very discreet. There is a couple fooling around on a bed using this restraints system, pictured on the front. There is some useful information on the box, but it's minimal. Inside the box is a demonstrational DVD, but this also covers all of sportsheets products. This DVD is like soft core porn, so you will want to hide that away from those who you don't want to see it.

Experience

I am not a beginner to bondage, but I'm no expert either. I'm extremely disappointed in this bondage set. It's very well overpriced. I can't even believe the price tag on it. You are much better off getting the Under the bed restraints system.

It does hold up well during play time. You can tug and pull with all of your might; you can't pull the anchor pads off without going underneath them. However, over time this might not be the case. I do feel completely restrained. It's fun to be able to move around the anchor pads, so you can do a variety of positions. The cuffs are sized to fit a majority of users.

I can't recommend this kit to anyone. It's so overpriced for what it is. Those who are going to be willing to invest in a restraints system at this price are presumably beyond the level of the cuffs, so you will end up spending at least an extra $100 on better cuffs for your wrist an ankles. That is roughly $300 on something that is a hassle to put on the bed, uncomfortable to leave on, a hassle to remove, a lint magnet, and not going to last a lifetime. Overall, I have given this kit two stars because of all the issues I had with it.

Sounds like a rip off...how hard would it have been to make a decent cotton sheet, especially for this price?
