The Original Furry Cuffs by Pipedream are a great way to introduce bondage into your play for the first time. Since the fur gives them a non-intimidating appearance, they come with safety releases. They are great for beginners. They attach around the wrists, but are a bit too small to fit around the ankles on most people. You could cuff your partners' wrists, or have your partner cuff you. You could also do a bit of light role play. One of you could arrest the other in a play session. If you're not into role play, you could simply attach the cuffs and enjoy the feeling of having complete control. You could also enjoy being completely controlled, while still having a sound mind because of the safety releases. The cuffs could be used around both wrists that would be behind your back, or around one wrist. You can also use them on a bedpost, or any other way you desire! One partner could be in control and simply tease the other. You could have your partners' wrists cuffed while you perform oral on them, or have them perform oral on you. You could be cuffed and be entered from behind as well. Part of the fun is getting creative with the use of the cuffs. Anyway, it makes for an exciting evening!

The furry cuffs have a fun and playful design. Faux fur sleeves keep them from being too intimidating or serious. The safety releases should give you peace of mind during play. The easy release mechanism makes it so you aren't completely immobile. That may be a drawback for some, but a relief for others. I find there are many situations in which it would be convenient. During an emergency, the release mechanism is useful. It is very useful if you or your partner wants to stop, if they keys have been lost, or if both of you want to get down to business. We have never used the keys during play, but they do work. They are more for show than anything else.

The cuffs themselves are made of metal. Metal is phthalate-free, firm, and has a smooth texture. They are shiny, and somewhat reflective. The faux fur sleeves are acrylic synthetic fibers, and porous and absorbent, so be careful to clean them before sharing. They retain their color, and it will not rub off on your wrists. Neither has a particular smell.

It seems to be well-made, and appears as if it will last a long time. Be sure to keep the cuffs away from water, so the metal won't rust. You can remove the faux fur sleeves to clean them.

As far as size go, they fit my female wrists comfortably. They fit around my male partner's wrists as well. They are adjustable, and will fit most people pretty easily. If you have very large wrists, they may be tight.

I found them to be comfortable with the faux fur sleeves on, though you could use them without. They provided a certain amount of cushioning, but they are by no means "padded". You can still feel the cuffs underneath. They are firm but not uncomfortable. They provide a degree of warmth as opposed to the cold, metal cuffs. Once we found the right fit, they were just so cozy I just forgot they were there! It is possible to get them too tight, and that will leave marks. Be sure to let your partner know if they are too tight, so they can be adjusted. Communication is important in this situation!

The furry cuffs met our needs and expectations, though these are different for everyone. I will say they were comfortable to use. They are easy to put on and use. It also holds up to use well. They will withstand light play, but not rough play. Just remember to be gentle with your partner and with the cuffs. If you are looking for something heavy and serious, as opposed to light and fun, you may want something different.

The metal cuffs can be cleaned with soap and water, as long as they are dried carefully to avoid rusting. Personally, I would recommend using a wet washcloth and misting toy cleaner instead. The faux fur sleeves are machine washable. You can just slide them off and wash them regularly to keep things clean and safe.

They are easy to store; just slide them closed so they don't rattle too much and tuck them somewhere safe.

My packaging is a bit different from the one pictured. It was purchased elsewhere, but they are essentially the same.

The box can easily be used to store, but is not very discreet. It takes up space, too. However it should be recyclable.

It's your typical cardboard box. It has the Pipedream logo on it, and says "The Original Furry Cuffs" along the front. Underneath that is a window for viewing the cuffs. To the right of the window, there is a topless woman with very long hair. Her back is facing you and furry handcuffs affixed around her wrists. Underneath the window it says, "Lock Up Your Lover!". It says, "Furry Cuffs" on either side of the box too. The back has the same picture, but larger. Some of the text about how the use of restraint has always been a sexual stimulant, and how fantasy becomes reality when you have these cuffs. They say they're made to play hard, and the soft fur teases and titillates. "Lock up your lover, and explore your deepest fetish fantasies!".

We had great fun with these, but the first time we had them too tight. They left red rings around my wrists for a couple days. This is why I mentioned to be careful not to get them too tight. We got it right the second time. They fit so comfortably, I forgot they were there! They worked very well for us, and we will use them quite often, I'm sure.
