My first wheel!
This has been one of my best small purchases at Eden. For a couple just starting out in the new world of BDSM, it has given a pleasantly tantalizing taste of what is yet to come.

Pros
Cheap, good for beginners, good for sensation play
Cons
Not the sensations a real wartenberg wheel will provide, making a soft squeaking noise as it rolls
My partner and I have been dabbling in BDSM as of late, trying all kinds of new toys and testing the various waters to see what we both are interested in. A member of our local fetlife group often boasts of the uses of the wartenberg wheel. Seeing as neither him or I are ready for the full experience, I did a bit of research and found two here on Eden. We decided to opt for the lighter one with shorter spikes. Aiming to add to a sensation play scene but not blood play, I made my purchase and waited not so patiently.
It came in a tiny cardboard box that was labelled far from discreetly, just showing a picture of the product. At least there wasn't any pictures of scantily clad women on it. Wrapped inside with the toy was a flimsy, papery feeling blindfold. It had a pathetically thin elastic strip and didn't seem good for much. I put it on quickly and it didn't block light well at all, so it has not been used. Still it was nice of them to include an extra anything as low cost as the main toy was to begin with.
When it got here, I was surprised to see how lightweight it actually is. It fits comfortably in my tiny hands, and the amount of pressure and pain it inflicts can be controlled with an index finger. It rolls delicately across the skin, almost tickling, but with a bit of pressure it scratches, and drawn over fast enough, it leaves a welted mark almost like a cat scratch. Our's we quickly learned has a small burr on one of the teeth that "limits" functionality a bit. We both know by now that it will catch and add a small jolt of extra pain. (To any intermediate or advanced user, this bit would be laughable.)
Trying to go further with our testing, my boyfriend dragged it over my back repeatedly, leaving the word "mine" in a raised, welting pattern that soon faded. He then tried using it on my inner thighs and even lightly of my labia. This provided such a sensation of excitement that we had to stop experimenting with it for the night. *ahem*
It has since become a staple in our "tie-and-tease" sensation games. Cuffed, blindfolded and unknowing, it provides a nice bit of shock after feathers, fur, heat, cold, etc. The chilly little wheel provides a tantalizing bite once you are relaxed, waking your nerves to new sensations.
Cleaning the wheel is simple; wash with anti-bacterial soap and dry well. If it does draw blood, the metal portions can be sterilized with alcohol and should be done so immediately to prevent any communicable diseases. Due to the nature of this toy, I would not recommend sharing it with anyone other than a fluid-bonded partner though.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
Our wheel still gets used within many sensation play sessions. Not too scratchy or sharp, yet still exciting. We are thinking of getting another wheel from Eden but using both in sessions as they seem like they would provide unique experiences.
