More Tamed than Chained
This is an alright kit, and it is certainly better suited for the bondage novice. There is nothing inherently wrong with it, and it's not the most nor least comfortable, but I prefer a set that allows for more versatility: for the hands and feet to be either bound or separate and can be used with other accessories such as a spreader bar or hogtie attachment.

Pros
6' Quality Chain, Strong D-Rings, Comfortable, Velcro, Best for the Novice.
Cons
Velcro, PVC, Not Terribly Versatile, Not Escape-Proof, Best for Novices, One-Size.
The Chained & Tamed Kit by Sportsheets consists of just four pieces and comes in a not-too-discreet box featuring an attractive couple showing you all the great ways you can use this set. The box also boasts a limited lifetime warranty which is always nice.
In case you didn't look at the picture or read the description, the four pieces this set comes with are: one chain, one collar, one ankle strap, and one wrist strap. The wrist and ankle straps are made to bind both wrists together and both ankles together. The restraints are made of black PVC, are padded, and are lined with some sort of soft nylon (though the collar is not lined).
Here are some stats before I go any farther:
Chain - 6 feet. It has a 2 inch metal clasp and 1.25 inch key ring on either end.
Collar - 15 inches long + 3.25 inches of "eye" Velcro by 2.5 inches wide. It has a single, 1 inch D-ring riveted on.
Wrist Strap - 12 inches long + 4.5 inches of "eye" Velcro by 3.5 inches wide. It has a single, 1 inch D-ring sewn on.
Ankle Strap - 20 inches long + 4.5 inches of "eye" Velcro by 3.5 inches wide. It has a single, 1 inch D-ring sewn on.
The Good:
PVC is water resistant, and unlike leather, it won't get scratched or warped by liquids, and neither your water nor silicone-based lubes will harm its sheen. You can clean it with a damp cloth or with some toy cleaner. The shiny black is an attractive finish and definitely something a lot of people like.
Everything looks double-stitched and fairly well-constructed. The chain is my favorite part of this set and will for sure get more use than anything else; it's long, heavy, and has a million and one uses (so does the chain you pick up at your local hardware store).
If you're green in the ways of bondage, this kit may be right up your alley. It's easy-on, easy-off, padded, non-threatening, fairly comfortable, and fairly escapeable. If you are more the black diamond bondage type, see bellow.
The Bad:
I have several qualms with the Chained & Tamed Kit. The biggest is that the collar is not lined which means PVC on your skin. If you've never had PVC on you skin for an extended period of time, that means sweating and possible chafing in the case of something moving around like a collar tugging about your neck (I would suggest some baby powder or a bandanna if this happens). I can't imagine why the wrist and ankle restraints are lined and the collar is not. The Velcro closure also tends to get stuck in my hair. The collar also may not fit everyone. It is rather thick and though it has a wavy shape and padding. It's not the most comfortable.
Because of the fact that the wrists and ankles have to be bound together, the only ways I've found (thus far) to use the whole kit together are: wrists and ankles chained to neck in front and wrists and ankles chained to neck in back. I'll keep thinking on it and get back to you.
This set is by no means escape-proof, and if you have flexible joints, you'll be able to slip out of these lickity-split.
I'm also not too excited that I can't put the wrist strap on myself. I enjoy surprising my partner by him coming home to me all tied up and at his mercy; that's just not a possibility with this set.
The Ugly:
The Chained & Tamed Kit came to me with the pieces folded up inside the box. I can't seem to get the creases out of the restraints which makes the collar even more uncomfortable. There are also a few odd construction things in this set mostly having to do with the Velcro. The "hook" part is on the side facing out which is standard so that it doesn't irritate the skin, but there is not enough of the "eye" part to cover it completely, so it can easily attach to hair, bedding, costumes, clothing or lingerie, and that hook stuff can totally wreck fabric.
This is really a personal preference, but I'm not crazy about the look of this set. I like the darker and tougher look of leather and the clanging of heavy O-rings, but that's me.

Experience
Overall, I'll probably stick to my hogtie kit when I'm in the mood for something on the lighter side of restraint. I really don't see me getting a ton of use out of this set. My ankle bones are knobby, and it knocks them together, and it doesn't allow a ton of comfortable room for penetration. I might just keep the restraints in my car in case I need to MacGyver a splint or a sling for some poor, mangled creature that I'm bound to find on the side of the road one of these days.

I gave these away. Never was able to use them successfully. I do still use the chain though, that has proved very useful!

Great review

PVC right on your neck sounds super uncomfortable. Thanks for the honest feedback!

liili080: yeah, it's not the best. I was really surprised by all the missteps, Sportsheets usually does a very through job. And thank you for the feed back

Thanks for the great review. It sounds like a disappointing product though.
