Mask Masquerading as a Wearable Item
This was an add on to an order, otherwise I would not have purchased it on my own. It is a nice decoration on my wall. After trying it on, I would never wear it during sex, or for any other reason. It is hard to keep on because of the uncomfortable material.

Pros
ribbon ties, good wall decoration, inexpensive
Cons
uncomfortable to wear, sloppy decorations, sharp edges
I was delighted when I found out that I was getting a free mask with my order from EF. I love masks, and have worn many masks being from a town in Louisiana that is very close to New Orleans. I saw that some reviews were not too favorable, but hey, it was free!
The mask comes wrapped in plastic, attached by a silver twist tie to a cardboard insert.
The back of the cardboard has a short story about a woman seducing a man in her mask.
As you can see, the mask is a light gunmetal-ish color, edged with silver and white rick-rack. The mask has has gold and black details. I thought that the black would be painted on, but on my mask it looks like it was drawn on with a cheap permanent marker. Both the glitter and black marker look as if they were done carelessly, as it's very sloppy.
The mask has two pieces of black ribbon that are used to hold the mask on your face. The two pieces of ribbon are not of very high quality, but are attached by metal brads. This is better than most generic masks from craft stores, as they usually have thin elastic that will snap or stretch out during use.
The ribbons are each 14 inches in length. I had no problem tying them around my head with my hair down, up in a pony tail, or around a bun.
I like that I was able to tighten it to fit my head. However, after a few minutes, the ribbon loosened up and I had to re-tie it and double knot it to keep it from falling loose. The ribbons did not come loose after I double knotted them.
It is a very lightweight mask, and I could imagine wearing it on top of my head (sunglasses style) if I needed to attend a masquerade party.
Here is a comparison of the Sportsheets mask beside my favorite mask that I have worn to several different events throughout the past few years. My mask is a high quality handmade mask that I spent nearly $80 on.
The Sex and Mischief mask is made of nylon and polypropylene (PP) according to the wrapper. It is a hard, yet bendable plastic, and it was sort of uncomfortable to wear. The edges around the eyes are kind of sharp.
I imagine that if you have an outfit that matches the colors on the mask, just about anyone could wear it. When I put it up to my face, it is wider than my face before it is tied. This means that a man or woman could wear this.

Experience
When I wore the mask, I tried to smile. However, as I moved my face, the mask dug into my cheekbones, and rubbed against my forehead and nose. I had the mask on my face for only 10 minutes, and I wanted to take it off because it was making my face sweat.
I am sitting in my well air conditioned apartment, and sweating from this mask. I cannot imagine wearing this during sex, or to a costume party where there would be lots of movement, dancing, or drinking. All of those things cause me to warm up, and I would sweat even more.
I hate not being able to use this for bedroom use, but I just would not feel sexy in this uncomfortable mask. I decided to hang it on my wall with the other mask, to match my Parisian themed living room.
Later on, I may decide to decorate it more with feathers and jewels, just to make it look nicer. For now, it looks nice on my wall as a decoration.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
Since the original review, I have not worn the mask again. I have it hanging on my wall, just as I said I did in the original. It looks great there with my other mask. Since then, I have added another mask to the wall.
This is great for decoration, but not for wearing. An adjustment that I thought of that would make it more wearable would be to add a felt backing around the rough edges. Unfortunately, I do not want to work that hard to make it wearable.

Thanks for a good review of what sounds like a not-so-good product. Still...I think it WOULD make a nice wall ornament, so if it's available for free when I place my next order, I think I'll grab one.

Thanks for the review! I really love the other mask you're comparing this one to.
