Love Taps the Heartbreaker is a cheap, cute, and totally not intimidating way to break, or should I say tap, into BDSM or spanking play. I love spanking and thought this would a cute item to use. The idea is cute, for sure, but it doesn't work all that well. But for the price, I wasn't expecting much. I expect better quality from Evolved in general, though. it can be used by just about anyone since the finger holes will stretch to fit any finger size. It's best for those who are beginners in BDSM or spanking play since it's effect is light and the rate at which you can use the item, is fairly slow so it doesn't provide a long lasting sting. It's easy enough to use and clean, but it might not last you very long.

Love Taps is made of actual leather and spandex. The leather is dry and very hard. It doesn't have a suede like feel to it and I didn't believe it was real until I smelled it. It does have a faint smell of real leather. It comes in two colors, red and purple. I have the red. The leather part is more of a deep red, while the straps are a lighter bright red. It looks a little funny to me that they don't match. There are also little plastic piece on the back of the leather. The heart does not flex much at all and is double layered so that it is rigid. The spandex straps are very stretchy.

The heart is pretty small. It is only2" wide and 1 3/4" tall. The edges are sort or crude and can be irritating if rubbed against repeatedly. The back of the heart has two plastic pieces sewn into it. To me they look like the "8 buckles" on bra straps. The straps are about half an inch wide and almost 3" long. Each strap has a loop at the end so a finger can go through it. Basically this looks like a sling shot. You put a finger through each loop and pull the heart back. Releasing it will cause the heart to sling shot into whatever you put a few inches in front of it, ass, breasts, etc.

It took me a while to figure out the best way to use this at first. To start I put one loop on my thumb and the other on my pointer finger but my fingers don't stretch wide enough, I gave my pinky a cramp trying to stretch my hand out to pull the straps taut. I tried on my middle finger and ring finger before I gave up on pulling them taut. It's best to just place Love Taps on the thumb and pointer or middle finger and then place your fingers on the surface of whatever you want to give a love tap to. Pulling the heart back by the little white pieces of plastic can be annoying to do. It's easier to just pull the heart back by the bulk of the shape. There is an issue with this, though. Sometimes this will cause the heart shape to not make contact at a direct angle. If you do it right, the little heart will produce a sting like impact, but it is nothing that lasts longer than the contact itself and doesn't hurt much at all. My boyfriend used this on my inner thighs, clit, ass, and nipples. I like the ass and inner thighs best. I used it on his inner thighs and ass as well. To be honest, though, we grew pretty tired of the Love Taps pretty quickly. We moved onto other flogging devices to finish our play. It was a good way to start foreplay, especially since I pulled it out of my pocket and I demonstrated how to use it playfully on my partner before handing it over.

Because this is made of leather, it should never be soaked or saturated in water. You can use a damp cloth to clean surface mess if any gets on it. To store, store in a place that is cool and not humid. Placing it back in its case is a good idea, but not necessary to preserve it.

The packaging is pretty cute. A plastic clam shell package has a mold that the product sits in and there is a double sided insert. The part that is cute is the animation. There are pictures of cartoon like people using the Love Taps. It's not discreet since you can see through the package, but it looks like a good gag gift, stocking stuffer, or party favor for a bachelorette party. Without the package, this item is very discreet and can slip into the smallest of places.

I was disappointed to find that I couldn't get this to produce little heart shapes.
