When I first came into the bondage scene I wanted a way to restrain my partner without the skill (or patience) level needed for rope and without the physical damage of duct tape. Hello Fantasy Bondage Tape!

The "oh goody" good stuff: It's so easy to use!! To start you'll need to know some basics about bondage (good communication and trust, a safe word, and safety scissors on hand just in case [there are lots of sources online for more detailed beginners guidelines]). The whole point of the bondage tape is that the PVC sticks to itself securely (like duct tape) but does not stick to skin or hair (amazing!!). So, I can, for example, cut a 2.5 foot section of the tape with regular scissors (but again, have safety scissors nearby in case your partner need quick help) and wrap it around my partners wrists firmly (depending on my skill level and their experience level) and they will be held as strongly as any rope without tearing, or pulling apart. If I decide to move his hand behind his back, I simply remove it from his wrists by unwrapping the tape at the end (which again causes no damage to skin or hair), move his hands, and re-wrap!! Amazing!! In fact, you can wash the tape (like any other PVC toy) and reuse it another time!

The "not so cool" draw-backs: Bondage tape is so much like real tape that if you're not careful it will twist up (like regular tape) and you'll have to stop and pull it apart before it can be used. Also, just like with any rope, be sure you're cutting the correct amount BEFORE you snip. The most frustrating thing in the world is realizing you've cut a section too small to use and that it can't be reattached to make a longer piece.

I have used bondage tape to bind my partner, hold his legs open, tape over his mouth (and around his head) to gag him, and as a makeshift body harness for myself. So. Much. Fun.
