This is a great set for beginners! The set itself arrived discreetly, and upon opening the package, there was a slight odor from the material used for the restraints, though it wasn't off-putting. The cuffs are made from several materials, including velcro and fleece and are adjustable. The cuffs rest comfortably against the skin, so chafing is a non-issue, though they are on the thinner side. The cuffs do slip on/off with no hassle.

My partner and I have preferred to leave the straps connected to the bed when not in use (this is a personal preference. The velcro makes the set easy to put on and remove, we just find it a tedious task just in the heat of the moment.) What is great about this set we can hide the straps underneath our mattress and headboard, so they're out of view of wandering eyes!

I did note that the set is easily wiped clean if any stains should occur. (Sweat build-up under the straps is common during extended use and can leave behind stains.) We had traveled with it before and noted that, when packed with care, it arrives in good shape.
