Light, Fun Way to Try Flogging
This flogger is great for those who are just starting or experimenting with BDSM play. It's easy to play around with this flogger and find out what you and your partner like, and what you don't, without the cost of a fancy leather flogger.

Pros
Easy to create a wide range of sensation
Cons
Not very intense
I bought this flogger a few months ago, as a cheap way to find out whether or not I liked flogging play. It turns out that I do, and this flogger is now one of my favorites! The falls are made of thin rubber strands, which allow for a lot of experimentation with sensation. With practice, I've been able to get anything from a quick sting (hitting with just the tips) to a solid "thwack" (hitting with the falls proper).
If you are looking for an intense flogger, one that causes a lot of pain or extreme sensation, I wouldn't recommend this toy. No matter how hard you swing, it never delivers much above mild discomfort. That's part of the reason why I recommend this for those who are experimenting or just starting out with flogging play - the way this flogger is designed makes it easy to avoid hurting your partner. Once you've discovered what you like, another flogger might be more appropriate, but this is a great beginner flogger!
This flogger is also pretty durable. The handle is sturdy plastic, and falls are much more resilient than I would have guessed at first. The falls are pretty resistant to tangling, which is fantastic. I traveled with this flogger, tossing it into my bag where it bounced around in the car, and it didn't tangle badly; I just threw it in with a mess of other toys, and it still didn't make the falls tangle that badly. Thank goodness for that, because if they ever did get badly tangled, rubber is NOT easy to untangle.
A neat little bonus to this particular flogger style is that the handle makes a great bit gag. Have the bottom hold it in their teeth before or after play as a fun way to get them excited or to cool them down (not to mention it looks pretty attractive).

Follow-up commentary
22 months after original review
I've had this flogger for quite a while now (nearly two years!), and while it's not my favorite implement ever, I still like it quite a lot.
I've yet to have any problems with tangling or breaking, which is great. I admit I didn't expect this piece to last as long as it did, since the materials don't seem all that durable. But it's still going strong!
Lately I've moved to using this for more of a warm-up than anything else. I prefer a bit of pain that this flogger doesn't really provide, but I find that the light sting of the rubber falls is a great way to warm up my nerves and get ready to have some real fun.
