Hasp style collar review

The Hasp Style Collar is a great collar at an amazing price. The lock it came with was fairly sturdy, and it is an aesthetically pleasing piece of leather and metal. It is very comfortable for someone looking to go from a regular to a posture collar.

extremely useful review
The Hasp Style Collar is by far the finest collar I have ever owned. The real leather design is flexible, comfortable, and lets the wearer move as they please without the inching you get from lower quality collars.

I was initially worried about the metal clasp used to secure the collar, but after a few personal tests (wrapping the collar around a bedpost and pulling repeatedly, a couple trial fun runs, etc.), it held its own. It has stretched when worn long enough but no more than it should to adjust to the wearer’s neck.

The D-ring is well secured also and, even when leashed, was capable of restraint without issue. (This was how my last collar failed, so if you’ve had this problem, you might want to try this collar.)

The only issues I have with this collar are the width and the sizing slots. Although two inches doesn’t seem like much, when performing, it can be a little difficult. I found the top rubbing my jawbone several times, which can be distracting when giving oral sex.

It works for me personally and is a good mix between a regular submissive collar and a posture collar, but if you want to be comfortable while on stage, a thinner collar may be better for you.

Also, I’m concerned about the slots used to secure the collar. They are fairly close together, and I’m worried, over time, they may rip. As most know, the last thing you want when deep in the game is to get loose. It can easily ruin a mood.

I can’t stress this enough; this is a real leather collar. In dry climates, you will want to oil it regularly. If you like lower maintenance gear, try pleather or even nylon (not my favorite but it works and cleans well). Remember, however, that worn nylon collars can chafe and poke, making any evening a loss.

If you’re just trying out bondage with your other, I would recommend a slightly less expensive and less restraining collar, one without a lock so you and your partner can feel more are ease. The collars I recommend specifically would be this collar or even this Velcro-nylon Tie-ups Neck Collar that looks comfortable and easy to remove.

Along with a collar, bondage tape can add fun and excitement to play, is much cheaper than cuffs, comes in a variety of colors and styles, and can really catch the eye. And for any kind of bondage play, no matter how mundane, be sure to have your safety scissors nearby.
