The Beginner's Dominatrix Kit is, as the name suggests, for beginners. I don't imagine that advanced users would really appreciate this bare-bones kit, as there is not a whole lot to it. A mask and stockings are always fun for dress up, and the small, basic slapper gets the job done. The pieces are decently-made and will stand up to moderate use. Moderate, not heavy, and certainly not appropriate for any extreme scenes.

The mask is a simple cut out from a velvety, almost felt-like material, sewn onto a wide elastic band. The fluff tends to shed like crazy, so after a sweaty, sexy session, you will be totally covered in sticky black fuzz. I didn't find the mask to be very comfortable; the material irritated my sensitive skin, and the cutouts don't match up very well with my eyes and nose. Also, the bottom of the mask just sort of flaps freely. I'm not really sure how I feel about that.

The fishnet stockings are very basic, nothing holds them up, so you may want to use a garter. In photos, it looks like they are supposed to be thigh-highs, but, at 5'7", mine reached just above the knee. Also, they don't look anything like the ones on the packaging, just so you know. The netting part has much smaller holes, and the top lacy part is that same, standard floral-type you see on many items.

The mini crop is my favourite piece in this kit. It's a simple strap of leather looped over and stitched at the end (watch out catching those corners on sensitive bits of flesh!) and a hard (plastic/wood) bit stitched inside the handle, attached to which is a nylon strap to loop around your wrist for stability/storage. The stitching in this slapper is all very solid, which I was quite pleased with.

None of these items have any strong smells.

The stockings simply refuse to stay up on my legs. It's probably because I have thick legs though, so maybe it won't be an issue for you. You could try using these with a garter belt, but I'm pretty sure the material would snag and rip, which is fine if you're just planning to use them once.

The mask made seeing very difficult for me. It could be because I have a small nose bridge, and the mask sat too flat against my eyelids, but I just could not get it to work.

The mini crop is delightful; it feels comfortable in the hand, the strap makes it easier to use in case you drop it, and it delivers quite a nice slap. Mild, mind you, but very pleasant.

The stockings can easily be hand-washed with your other delicates, or put into a mesh bag in the washer. I wouldn't put them in the dryer, though, I'm pretty sure they would shrink and/or lose elasticity.

The mask can be wiped down with a damp cloth very easily, or hand washed even, but be sure to hang it up to dry, and definitely do not put it in the dryer. It sheds black fluff like a monster, so you want to be washing it by itself. Or, really, just wipe it down unless you get a lot of bodily fluids on it.

The mini crop is easily wiped down with a damp cloth.

This kit comes in a clear plastic package containing a paper insert with photos and the names of the products. That's about it, no info on materials or care instructions or anything.

Though I might not have really liked the mask, at this pricepoint, it's worth it just for the crop and a pair of throwaway stockings, which I used once during rough play, and didn't feel bad throwing them out after they ripped.
