Pros
Soft, sturdy, stays put during rough use, D-ring for leash lead, and sexy!
Cons
Sheds, may not provide full coverage for all users, won't fit all bodies
Spartacus' Lace Up Sheath is a wonderful little contraption that creates the potential for a variety of BDSM play at a very affordable rate. It is used by slipping the testes through the elliptical slot and lacing the penis up in the leather sheath. The result is the sensation of restriction, and this feeling can be as light and experimental or intense and challenging as you please. This is the charm of the adjustable laces! The end of the leather swatch is a D-ring fixed with a small rivet, and a leash can be linked to this for a little leading for those into power dynamic play. More than the restriction aspect, I was intrigued by the idea of a cock cage that would actually stay put while I led my partner. I've had bad luck so far because many slip off of the testes easily, and the oval shape of the hole for the balls looked promising.
Well, the sheath proved to be something of a mixed bag, although overall a pretty damn good find. The main reason I say that is because that oval shaped hole actually did work exactly as I had hoped. 2.25 inches in length and 1.25 inches in diameter, the hole is a big of a squeeze to get through at first. Extra care should be taken when first getting situated: much like a cock ring it is easiest to slip one testicle through at a time first, then lacing the sheath up afterward. Those with larger balls may find it a little stressful but I do think its dimensions should be feasible for most.
Once the balls are through, however, there is no restriction of blood flow to the balls themselves. This is not like a cock ring in this respect. Ample room is provided for blood to move from the body into the testes so you do not need to take the same precautions that you would with a cock ring, such as removing and resting every 15 minutes. Unless you experience discoloring, numbness or any pain that you find undesirable, this can be worn safely for a rather long period of time. You should take any of the above as a sign to stop and remove the sheath.
My partner did complain, however, that the edges of the leather itself did have the tendency to dig uncomfortably into his flesh. There were some red welts left afterward, the kind a rubberband might leave. But like I said above; blood flow was never restricted and his balls stayed rosy and pink the whole time. The welts faded after some light rubbing, about 10 minutes after we stopped.
The rest of the sheath is fitted with seven eyelets on each side, through which a leather string is threaded. Very similar to a shoe, there is a "tongue" of a soft material (vinyl maybe?) It is stitched to one side and can be stretched across the other in order the protect the sensitive skin of the penis from chaffing under the leather lace. And while the pictures provided by Edenfantasys show the two edges closing neatly to meet each other without much tongue exposed, the reality will likely be much different for most. Why? The diameter of this baby when closed tightly with the edges touching is only one inch in diameter. To give you an idea of what kind of penis would comfortably fit in that, you can take a look at the 1:1 Actual Size of Tantus' Medium Silk, which is listed here as being 1.25 inches in diameter. Not so big, eh?
So most people will find the tongue making up most of the difference. In my partner's case the tongue barely made the whole difference up, and the video I posted above will give you a better sense of what kind of size penis may run into trouble. Please be advised that if you're around two inches across you may find this tongue can't save you from chaffing, unfortunately, because gaps will be left. And for everyone else? You may need a second pair of hands to lace this up properly. My partner held the tongue down and tucked it under the leather lip with two hands while I used my two hands to lace the thing up tightly. You know how annoying it is to lace up that new pair of Nikes for the first time? It's like that. But worse. You also have to do it every time you put the sheath on because the balls can't be inserted or removed while it's laced.
Fun, I know.

Experience
(continued from above)
Still, this sheath is so, so, so worth it for people that are into cock and ball torture or cock leash leading. SO worth it. The inside of this thing is buttery soft...like, suspiciously soft, so soft that I had to double check and make sure that it was in fact leather. It does tend to shed a bit although I would think this will lessen with time. My partner loved that little hint of mercy and luxury throughout our rather rough use of it: a nice soft touch so that the skin of his cock wasn't rubbed raw when I was done tugging him this way and that. Spartacus won me back into its good graces with this point as well, because my last cock cage from them was a terrible disappointment. It looked wonderfully sexy on my partner, high quality construction, all that jazz, but when it came to playing and leading it would just fall off.
Definitely not so with this! That oval shape is pure genius and it kept my guy's balls just where I wanted them! Every time I tugged the leash, his balls got a nice firm yank as well. Needless to say this is one hell of an effective training tool ;) So even though it's tedious as all get out to put on, will not fit all users and even sheds a bit, we're both willing to overlook these faults because at the end of the day its performance is superior. If you think this will fit your body and that you have the patience to lace it up? I do not hesitate you to go get one RIGHT NOW. Seriously! It's worth every penny!

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I'm pretty amazed that this is still in such great condition and that my partner and I use it as often as we do. Spartacus has definitely produced some clunkers and I'm not always the most pleased with their quality, but I still love this cage and would probably purchase a new one if this ever wears out. We still have the issue of the hole for the balls to slip through being a bit too tight, but I've soften the leather around the edge of the whole with a little leather polish and light stretching. Overall we have few complaints and this still sees a lot of use!

I wondered how this would work! Thanks for the review!
-
decent review except that in the video she puts it on completely wrong..... .... balls should be hanging thru the hole that you actually had near the head
