Kinky Cuffs
These cuffs are a great addition to any BDSM collection. If you're looking for something that isn't as bulky as other cuffs and isn't overly frilly and childish, then these are for you. They're sturdy yet comfortable. As far as functionality, the metal loops are a bit small for some items, but still work for thinner ropes and clips.

Pros
Unique design, raw yet elegant and simple.
Cons
Loops are a bit small- larger ropes can't fit through. Cheap leather.
I have one other set of cuffs that I have reviewed here (see Jaguar cuffs made by Aslan Leather) and as much as I love those cuffs, I find that the red/black combo doesn’t always go with my outfits that I wear to fetish parties. Thus, I have wanted a pair of plain black cuffs for a while now. When I saw these ones I was intrigued by the unique closure system that they have.
When they arrived I was at first impressed by the carrying case they come in. This plastic tube provides a convenient way of storing the cuffs when they’re not in use. When I took them out it took me a few moments to figure out how to fasten them (they don’t come with any instructions), but once I figured that out it was fine. Just put one of the metal tabs through the cut out slots and then slide the thin leather strap through both of the loops to fasten both in place. I admit I was initially skeptical of their ability to stay shut… however, over a series of tests, they proved quite sturdy.
My first time wearing the cuffs they were used mainly as an accessory for an outfit I wore at a fetish club. I really like the look of these cuffs as they are very sleek in design. Unlike other cuffs, they don’t have excessive metal buckles, or, on the other extreme, they are not fluffy and brightly colored like some child’s toy. They’re simple and elegant, yet rough and raw. Despite the fact that they don’t have any added padding, they are very comfortable. Throughout the night I did find that the thin strap would loosen, but this didn’t actually loosen the cuffs since the metal loop through the slot held them in place. I did discover that by reversing the way I was wearing them, so that the thin strap faced the opposite way, managed to decrease the loosening problem.
Next, I brought the cuffs over to my boyfriend’s place. He is a manager of a leather supply store, so I asked him to assess the workmanship of these cuffs. He said that the leather is rather cheap quality as you can tell by looking at the side that it’s multiple layers pressed together (kind of like particle board vs. solid wood). It was also at this point that I discovered the cuffs loops are a bit too small to put many items through. None of his 8mm rope would fit through the holes… so we weren’t able to use them.
The next time I used them was at a rope suspension party. I was suspended and my Top decided he wanted to cuff my hands to the rigging. He got these cuffs out of my bag and put them on me and then went and got two clips that were available. These fit just fine and were able to secure my wrists to the rope work this way. Still with this test no strain was being put on the cuffs though, so I still didn’t feel like I’d gotten a true test of them.
Finally, I was able to get a full test of the cuffs when I got tied up and tortured by my girlfriend. She cuffed my wrists and fed rope through the slots (a thinner 6mm rope works just fine) and then tied my wrists to the bed frame. As my body was cut with a knife, whipped, and dripped hot wax on, I gave the cuffs a good test by straining against them plenty! They did not come the slightest bit loose once and felt totally comfortable and secure the whole time. Success!
Overall, I’d say these cuffs are a great addition to anyone’s BDSM gear collection. They are a unique and effective design. The only problem is that some larger items can not fit through the loops. I love the sleek and raw look of them and they feel great to wear.

Follow-up commentary

I still love these cuffs. They are worn with almost every outfit to fetish events. The functionality of them is still lacking a bit, but as an accessory and semi-functional item, they're great. For actual use, I did have one time where I managed to escape from one. I was being beat and the cuffs were holding me down attached to a spanking bench, and I struggled so much that I guess they came loose and one went flying. OOPS! Not fully sure how that happened...but whatever. I do have a talent for escaping in general. Anyway, I would still highly recommend these cuffs to others.
