Kinky Bling
The Marilyn wrist cuff would make an adorable addition to any BDSM chest but it’s wrist size of 6 ½" to 7 ½" means that not everyone will be able to enjoy this lustrous gem. For those who fit into this size category, you’ll find that the Marilyn cuff works efficiently as a restraint but it tends to put more strain on the wearers wrists than a thicker cuff would. Also keep in mind that this is only a single cuff so if you’re wanting a pair, you’ll have to purchase two of these.

Pros
Gorgeous, easy to use and the Swarovski crystals are flexible.
Cons
It could be a bit longer to accommodate a wider range of sizes.
The Marilyn wrist cuff could quite possibly be the perfect accessory for your favorite sub to wear in public for a constant reminder of their submissive ways. Of course you don’t have to be a sub to enjoy the beauty of the Marilyn wrist cuff, because its beauty transcends both submission and dominance. So wear it simply because it’s pretty if you choose!
The Marilyn wrist cuff is quite simply a single, elegantly detailed, Swarovski crystal encrusted cuff. Unfortunately it is not a set so if you want a pair, you will have to purchase two. It’s designed from a 9 1/4" long, single row, leather strap that is only about 3/4" wide. While this is not much larger than a lot of watch straps, it is discreet enough to be worn in public. The double row of Swarovski crystals is definitely an eye catcher though! There are 44 crystals in total and they all sparkle and shine quite brilliantly when held under a bright light. They also sparkle fairly well in low light surroundings too. They also give off the faintest little rattle when you shake this cuff. It’s not loud at all and you actually have to have your ear right next to it, but the crystals don’t appear to be glued down. Instead they are held on by prongs sort of like gems in jewelry would be.
While the Marilyn cuff may be 9 1/4" long, it will only fit wrists that are 6 ½" to 7 ½" wide. That’s a diameter of about 2" to about 2 2/5". That means that it’s not going to work for everyone and actually only barely fits me. I do have thick bones at my wrists though so that may very well be the culprit. Just make sure to measure before you buy! Otherwise, you might be disappointed.
This cuff does have a buckle type closure but the buckle does not appear to be solid brass as the description states. As a matter of fact, I’m quite sure it’s not brass but it is a lovely, shiny silver color that matches the D ring next to it. The leather is doubled here at the buckle and there’s also a leather loop to tuck the other end into when buckled. There’s also a sturdy rivet on each side of the D ring to make it good and sturdy.
The Marilyn cuff is lovely and functions well as a restraint, but its slender width causes it to put more pressure on your wrist than a larger cuff does. It’s also unlined so there’s no cushion either. At least the crystals bend easily so they don’t restrict the flexing of the cuff around your wrist.
The packaging for the Marilyn cuff is non-sexual and easy to open. It’s made from a flexible plastic material that is bendable and looks sort of like a miniature shopping bag but with a closeable top. There’s even a white cotton string carry handle attached to it. The packaging could definitely be reused but I found it to be a bit cumbersome so I opted for storing it in my jewelry box instead.
Leather is a water resistant material with a high resistance to tearing, but it’s not sterilizable so, I’d recommend not only keeping this cuff to yourself but to try diligently to keep it clean as well. That’s mostly due to all of the crystals it’s encrusted with more than anything else though. It would be very difficult to clean them all thoroughly but any dirt that sticks to the leather parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild soap if needed.
The Marilyn cuff would definitely help you make a statement but all of those Swarovski crystals do have a tendency to snag delicate fabrics such as lace or fishnets so keep that in mind when deciding what to wear with it. Other than that, it’s gorgeous and I’ve had a lot of fun wearing it so far!
