Although I was expecting something with a little more power, the whip was great for beginning. The light make of it makes it more able to be gentler when actually whipping. It was great to help build my confidence in using whips; it was also great for foreplay with tickling using the rubber whip end. Overall, I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for something to get extremely kinky with, but for beginners it can be a lot of fun and a gateway to more things.
For those just starting to get involved in a bit of harsher play this toy is a winner, but for those more experienced I would look elsewhere.
I found it to be best used for foreplay. The handle of the whip is made from a harder composite plastic that makes it easy to hold, as long as you don't have lube on your hands. The rubber make of the whipping part makes it easy to use in light foreplay. The rubber buffers even the strongest of hits, making it better suited for gentle play rather than trying to inflict actual pain. It was great against the breast and buttocks area because of the gentle nature of it. It feels almost like a tickle when it is gently run against the skin. Even when it was whipped against either area it felt as if it were small snap but nothing that was extremely painful. It was enough to notice and give a little jolt through my nerves. My partner and I also tried it against my vagina, which also I found to feel amazing. It had just a small amount of snap to entice you to play more.
At the end of the whip there is a small nylon rope to wrap around your wrist to prevent it from flying out of your hand when in use; I liked this aspect since I have had whips go flying across the room before.
Those looking for a toy that you can really sink in and leave marks with; I would recommend looking elsewhere, but for those looking for something to give a bit of shock in the bedroom this is the one for you.
I'm a self proclaimed pink fanatic. The first thing that attracted me to this whip was the bright pink coloring of it. Although the coloring says feminine, the rubber make of the whipping end gives a little lashing to anyone using it.
The handle on the whips fits a bit awkwardly in my hand, but I have small hands compared to the usual women. I would assume that for most women it would be a better hold than it was for me. The whip's
handle is made from a harder plastic that if accidentally swung could cause a bit of a bump.
There are two large round beads on the whip one at the base of the handle and one toward where the whip begins. These I found to be cheaply made and easily broken. The one at the base where the whip actually begins broke after dropping to the ground from a table, yes I'm a klutz. The whipping part of the whip is made from a soft rubber material; it is extremely flexible and light. At the end of the whip past the
handle there is a light nylon cord to keep from causing the whip to fly out of your hands.
The overall make of the toy is pretty sturdy minus the beads that seemed to break extremely easily.
The whip was a sturdy make but still lacked any backbone to cause any real pain.
My boyfriend and I bought this whip to get me eased into the world of being more dominant. I was extremely timid with how hard I was whipping with it. With barely flicking it seemed to tickle my partner more than anything. As my self confidence rose, so did the amount of strength I put into each blow. Although, by the end of our experience it had done little more then get him hornier, which served me alright. There were no welts or anything like that from where I had hit my partner with the whip.
I found it to work great as a beginning toy to build up my confidence with using whips. The whips handle was hard to keep hold of and fit awkwardly in my hand, and without the nylon string at the end could have potentially flown across the room, much like other whips I've bought have.
You could hear a light swoosh when the whip went through the air and a small smack when it hit the skin, although it wasn't loud it could be heard.
The gentle nature of the make of the whip helped to make it great for use lightly brushing the skin and teasing. It also caused a slight tingle through the body when it was hit against the buttocks, or so my partner said. My partner and I both found the whip to be great to ease our way into a bit more kinkier things.
The toy was extremely easy to care for since it didn't need to be thoroughly cleaned continuously. It did seem to collect dust a bit, so I would suggest dampening it to clean it before you plan to use it on the body.
As for storing, it folds up quite nicely since it is made from rubber on one end, and can be hidden away easily. It does stand out, so unless you want a great conversation starter, I would suggest leaving it where you play with it in private.
The container that the whip comes in is a typical clear plastic package, so being discreet is not going to happen. When you first pull it out of the box Eden sends it in, you can clearly see the bright pink whip. The whip also did not come with any special instructions, but this could be due to the nature of the toy.

Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore1 month after original review
Although this toy was a favorite for a while, it has been surpassed. With advancements comes new things. The junior whip just couldn't keep up with the demands my boyfriend and I had for this type of toy. I do still have it in my drawer and probably always will, I won't be using it for anything but a bit of teasing fun on occasion.
