Use is primarily as a clamp - for stimulation hands-free. Yes, they're designed for nipples, but they can do so much more: clits or CBT, if you're into that, I'm sure! I attached them to a piercing of mine for some extra weight and tugging since I tend to pierce areas that I want more attention in. Add a clamp to your earlobe or even use it to dangle, say, a key to your shackles just out of your reach...

I could wear this under my bra, with a little bit of difficulty. It was tricky to position the longer metal piece of the tweezer, compared to other clamps.

This is entirely made of black painted metal of a lighter weight that feels more like aluminum than steel. The chain itself is a lot thicker and chunkier than most other chains, but ends up being made of a lighter weight metal; so, it still gives just the right amount of heft - not too heavy as to pull off the clamps, but not too light so as to not stimulate enough.

The metal is pretty easy to sterilize, and the rubber gripping pads are removable. They haven't ever come off while I was playing with them, but it might be a good idea to add a drop of crazy glue. On the other hand, allowing them to be removed can either add bite to the clamps, or perhaps remove to clean or sterilize.

I was about to give up on nipple clamps in general. The first pair was alright, but fell off all the time - literally seconds before they fell off. The second pair was WAY too tight, and I couldn't adjust them at all (clothespin style). My problem is that my nipples are small - embarrassingly so. It happens: ladies come in all shapes and sizes and I am a card carrying member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee. I tried these as sort of a third strike, last chance - and wow, I was pleased. They're really low cost, I like the manufacturer Spartacus, and best of all - they *work*. They stay on when I put them on. They should fit larger nipples, as I can put them over my fingers without any difficulty and get them to stay. I can adjust the tension from very light and playful to pretty harsh - not as scream-inducing as the clothespin style clamps, so if you REALLY like pain, these probably aren't strong enough. The only bonus I could think of would be a way to clip the chain on or off - change chains, remove them for under clothing, attach the chain to other things...THEN these would be the perfect nipple clamps.

I've boiled mine - the rubber tips perhaps would need some extra care to completely sterilize, as bacteria can sink into the porous rubber. The metal itself, if it remains unscratched (bacteria can hide in those), is very easy to clean.
