Intro to BDSM? Try Intro to Throwing Things Away.
I can see the appeal: the design is attractive and several of the elements are high quality, but the overall effect is sub-par thanks to some cheap chain between the restraints. Like many people of the same quality: good looks don't always mean they're good in bed.

Pros
flawless flogger, adequate blindfold, fascinating inclusion of a ball gag
Cons
shoddily constructed cuffs, neither totally hardcore nor entry-level BDSM
Fact 1: Quality BDSM gear is expensive.
Fact 2: This gear is not very expensive.
I think you can see where this is going. The purpose buying this particular set would be almost entirely for show. It's certainly not the cheapest kit and some of its elements are actually really well constructed, but the overall result is middling.
This kit is a fascinating study in trying to get an aesthetically-pleasing, functional product at a low price. All of the pieces are made of similarly-hued black and purple suede, and make for a cute little set. Individual pieces are surprisingly good: the flogger is beautifully constructed and pleasing to use, for example. But the cuffs, which I admit are designed beautifully, are connected by some of the cheapest quality chain possible and it broke within seconds.
And the choice of objects to include was somewhat haphazard. The cuffs, blindfold and flogger make sense for even the most vanilla of players. But the ball gag brings the kink up a serious notch, which raises my expectations for the structural quality. The result is that, even though a valiant attempt was made at creating an economic option for those entering into some S&M play, I was underwhelmed at the idea of using it for anything other than a prop in a photo shoot.
FLOGGER
The Flogger is easily the savior of this kit. The soft feel of the suede is countered by the whipping capacity, which is significant for how small it is. I used it in a variety of ways: tickling across soft and sensitive stretches of skin, tracing slowly over bare buttocks, quick but light strokes and some sharp snaps with serious heat behind them. As a stand-alone product, it's perfect.
BLINDFOLD
With a similar level of respectability comes the blindfold. The narrowness means that it's more for show than legitimate sensory deprivation, but its feel and use are perfectly adequate. Putting it on and removal are both easy and convenient and wear is totally comfortable. The attention to design even means that it looks pretty sexy even while worn above the eyes, set on the forehead, ready to be pulled down at any moment, when the domme decides it's time to go dark.
BALL GAG
My personal level of interest in the ball gag was minimal, to be honest. I don't find them attractive, because of the way they distort the face. As far as using items for humiliation and submission, a ball gag is much lower down on a list of options than even duct tape over the mouth. So I wasn't enthused with its inclusion, which struck me as anachronistically hardcore compared to the other items. It certainly took it from a tame collection to a more fetish-oriented one, which might be exactly what you're looking for. One other point to be made about it: not the best tasting rubber available.
CUFFS
Then we come to the cuffs. So much potential. They're phenomenal in many ways: more comfortable than metal cuffs, able to be used on both ankles and wrists, easy to use and require no key. But their failing comes from the shoddy construction of the connecting chain. It snapped as soon as the cuffs were on and any amount of pressure was applied to pull the cuffs in different directions. I fixed them with a pair of pliers, but it wasn't enough. So the result was a cuff on each wrist, but they were essentially jewelry, not any type of restraint.

Follow-up commentary

Nothing spectacular if you're a real BDSM fan, but a sweet and gentle intro for the novice. Sturdy materials, perfectly well made, but you'll need a lot of imagination to turn this combination into a real scene.

Thanks timaree!

nice review!

Thank you!

looks like I won't be getting this one, considering I want the cuffs more than anything out of it, thank you for your review.

Thanks for the review. I'd have rigged my own chain, assuming the cuffs' attachment points were solid. But, why spend the money for something you have to repair right away? Better to get good gear to start with. And if you don't need a ball gag, better to just get the parts you do want.
