See No Evil is made from
Neoprene and is available in black, blue, and pink. The Neoprene is a very durable material that isn't easily damaged by being tugged on or twisted. This is wonderful considering this item, and the others from this line, are light BDSM pieces and often are subject to some abuse.
The fabric itself is only a little bit stretchy, feels a little squishy to the touch, but is soft and comfortable against the skin. The feel of the material reminds me of what the inside of some bathing suit breast cups feel like. The blindfold is very flexible and can be folded and manipulated easily, making it travel friendly and compact for storing.
The front of the mask features four rows of squares (38 total) that are sewn onto the top of the fabric. The stitching is through the fabric and can be seen on the inside of the piece. Though you can see it, it can't be felt while you're wearing it. The squares are padded and come to a slight peak in the center of each (which sticks out 1/4" from the front of the fabric). The purpose behind these squares? Perhaps it's supposed to be a fashion statement? Either way, it doesn't really add to the way this blindfold works, but it does match the other items in the line. They are interesting looking and add a nice touch to the piece, but don't truly serve a purpose.
The blindfold itself is designed like any; larger areas to cover the eyes, a thinner area in the center where it goes over the nose, and a band that goes around the head. It's designed this way so that it fits comfortably with the shape of your face and lays flat on either side of your nose, eliminating as much light as possible. The areas that go over the eyes are each 3 1/2" tall and approximately 4" wide. The area that goes over your nose is 2 1/4" tall and is approximately 3/4" wide. 8 3/4" makes up the front of the blindfold, and has a 2" band. The full piece is 26" long from tip to tip.
The fit of this piece is adjustable thanks to the velcro closure which takes up 3 3/4" on either side of the piece. Though it's adjustable, it holds strongest for those who have medium sized heads (21"-23" around) since the velcro will overlap the most. While it will work for those who have much larger and much smaller heads, the velcro won't hold as strong since it's not overlapping as much. This should fit most people, but there will be exceptions, even with the fact that it's adjustable.
The velcro holds quite well and no amount of moving around during your sleep or blissful struggling causes it to come off. It might shift depending on your struggle, but it doesn't fully come off. While it does stay in place well, it also is easy to put on and remove when it's time. Directly next to the velcro on one side is a small tag that has the company name on it. This is the only marking on the blindfold.
The overall stitching on the piece was done quite well, especially the stitching with the squares. It's completely even with no loose threads and seems like they paid close attention to quality. There was one small place that the stitching wasn't perfect and it was near one side of the velcro. The trim is stitched a little funny in one spot and doesn't look as neat as the rest of the piece. It doesn't look like it will fray and doesn't take away from how it functions, but it's worth noting.
The fabric does pick up a little bit of lint, but not much and is easily wiped away. There was only a light scent when this item arrived, and I'm assuming it had to do with the packaging.
Thanks for the details!
