Pros
Affordable, cute, effective
Cons
Can be hard to fasten
When I bought the Fresh pink bell nipple clamps by PHS International, I was under the false impression that this style of clamp could not be made terribly intense and was just for decoration.
I am both pleased and somewhat scared to say I was “sorely” mistaken. Actually, what I like most about these clamps is that they can indeed be worn in a less intense way more as jewelry but they can also be made quite deliciously uncomfortable.
The clamps are basically just a tweezer shape and they are tightened by a small o ring that sits around both prongs of the tweezers. Slide the ring up and it squeezes the clamp tighter on the nipple. This means it can be set anywhere from just tight to enough to stay on to tight enough to cause quite a bit of pain (hurts so good).
I find that it helps to have a stronger hand if you really want them on tightly. I have weaker hands and find it hard to slide the ring up high enough for myself to make them really tight. They also like to twist or roll away when you squeeze so if you are trying to tighten them down, be very mindful of tweaking the nipple. That may be what you’re going for but it can be unpleasant in a bad way when it is uncontrolled or comes without warning.
I would also strongly suggest using a great deal of caution in tightening these down. I discovered just how tight they go when someone with bigger, stronger hands squeezed harder than intended and the ring slipped up high. Ouch! So go slow and make sure the pain is at a tolerable level! No one wants to lose a nipple, just trying explaining that in the ER!
These have a delightful jingle from the bells and look quite nice on whether worn loose or tight. The last word of caution I’ll give is that these are a lot easier to use on bigger nipples where they have more to grab. I have larger breasts but smaller nipples which means it can be a little bit of a challenge to find enough for the clamps to grab.
The clamps are pink metal, the pink will eventually wear off, especially where the o-ring slides over them. Metal is cleaned easily enough with antibacterial soap and water or toy cleaner. On the tips of the clamps there are rubber tips to protect the nipple from being cut into by the metal. These tips can be removed but be wary of actually cutting the skin because it can lead to infection.
Aside from being jingly, these couldn’t be easier to toss in a bag and take with you wherever you’re going. As a matter of fact, if I’m out and about and want clamps with me, these are usually the ones I grab (yeah, I lead an interesting life, impromptu clamping happens).
The packaging is not very discreet. Like pretty much everything else in the Fresh line by PHS International, these come in a clear plastic clamshell with a colorful paper insert with a small amount of information. It’s not bad for storing them but a little bulky for my taste. When not in my purse, I keep my tucked away in my toybox.

Follow-up commentary

These little guys get a lot of use. The more I play with nipple clamps, the higher my pain tolerance is so these are now very beginner for me. However, they are very fun boob decorations!
