There is another review of this crop posted which says it is poorly made, and only good for decoration. I respectfully disagree strongly! While I can say that this crop is probably not well-enough made for a pro Domme to use, in a professional dungeon, for personal use it is just fine.

The crop part has two sides, one is a suede with little heart cut-outs and the other side is plain black leather. Each side has it's own unique feeling; the pink heart side is more stingy and the black leather side is more thudy. BDSM enthusiasts will understand that distinction perfectly, where the novice might not. Try it and you will see what I mean. The heart cut-outs will leave little heart impressions if the crop is utilized hard enough, and they are sort of cute.

The shaft has just the right amount of give in it, to allow a nice clean swat. The handle is comfortable, and it has a wrist strap so you don't accidentally lose your grip and send the crop flying through a window or something.

I used this crop on my husband and myself. I liked that it didn't administer too much pain; even with a good hard swat it just stings. My husband loved the feel of it! His favorite side is the solid leather one, where I prefer the suede cut-out one. This means the crop provides diversity for its use.

We tried it out on virtually every part of the human body that one would want to strike with a crop. Obviously, one would never strike over the kidney area, or on an area where true damage could be done, but it felt fine when used on the shoulders, the upper back, the very lower back, buttocks, thighs... and even the bottoms of the feet were fine to strike with this.

All in all, I think this crop is excellent for private use. As I mentioned it really isn't well-enough made to use professionally but, when it is used simply for the enjoyment between a couple in the privacy of their home, it is a perfectly fine and inexpensive toy to add to the collection. I recommend it highly for that purpose.

Well, time has passed and this little crop is still doing fine. It is in perfect shape, and that was a concern due to its inexpensive cost. We both are perfectly satisfied with its performance, and still recommend it to anyone who wants to put a little 'snap' in their play.
