This vegan gag is by Aslan Leather and is pretty rad. It's done in such a way that you can barely tell it's not leather, and I really prefer this to the other nylon version they make, since it buckles. This gag would be appropriate for newbies or the more experienced player. It doesn't lock, but it buckles, so as long as the sub doesn't have free hands, it isn't going anywhere.

Like all Aslan toys, this gag is high quality and made to last. The ball is red and made of silicone and the strap is made of nylon with a metal buckle. As you can see, the part below the strap looks like leather but should appeal to those that want animal-friendly toys. It's highly adjustable, and although I saw a complaint about the size of the ball, I think it's fine. I have a pretty small mouth, according to my dentist, and I found this gag to be fairly comfortable.



There is a seam on the ball but you don't really notice it once the gag is in place. The gag can come apart on either side thanks to the handy snaps. This way you can sterilize the ball without harming the strap, although it can be a bit of a pain to get the ball back on the strap.




My one gripe is that there is a definite seam to the strap. This doesn't affect the functionality of the strap so I wouldn't let it stop you from buying it. Like all Aslan products, this has a lifetime guarantee, so if it breaks, you can send it back to be repaired or replaced. I just wish it was glued or sewn to seal the inside of the strap.



As far as measurements go, the ball is about six inches around and about average as far as size goes. Below I have included a size comparison with another Aslan vegan gag and a Tantus Beginner gag.

I really like this gag. It's comfortable and easy on the eyes. I wish the ball was pink, but that hardly affects functionality. Unlike the other vegan gag Aslan makes, my boyfriend/Dom gave this one his seal of approval. The buckle is much easer than the closure on the other one we got (if you're curious, look at the size comparison picture for the other buckle style). The gag is easy to put on and is tasteless, thanks to the silicone ball. Rubber gags taste pretty gross, in my opinion, and the one time I tried one was enough to make me decide that silicone is the way to go. Yes, it costs a bit more money, but it will last, is sturdy, does what it's made to do, and looks nice on top of it all.

A little bit of water with gentle soap will clean the gag and the ball can be popped off and sterilized. You can also use antibacterial wipes. Try not to get the strap overly wet. The care tag is for leather products, which is something I think that could be tweaked a bit, but other than the suggestions for leather products, it's still good advice and shows you their promise that your gag is guaranteed for life.



The gag can be stored in the little baggie it comes in, although it's not necessary. If you don't keep it seperate from other toys, try to make sure it's not stored with any materials that could damage the gag (silicone-based lube, for example). Any sort of baggie or small storage container can keep it safe (and keep the dust bunnies from attacking).

Like my other Aslan gag, this one came in a clear plastic baggie. Attached to the gag strap was a care tag which I will show below. Simple, yet effective for storage. I rarely keep packaging but did in this case, since it keeps the gags safe in your toy box.



I think they use this tag with the bulk of their products. The reason I say this is they refer to this as a leather product and recommend leather cleaner along with other care solutions. The bulk of the instructions are good minus anything about cleaning leather. Stick with gentle soap and a bit of water, or you could use gentle antibacterial wipes. Keep in mind that the ball can come off for sterilization as well.

My bf/Dom was a bit skeptical about this gag after we tried the other nylon version (also made by Aslan) that you have to thread to close it. However, this one was easier for him to secure and got his Dom stamp of approval. I found it pretty comfortable and the seam was barely noticeable, unlike some other gags we've tried. I also like the fact that silicone is tasteless, unlike rubber gags (yuck). If you prefer vegan toys, this might be a great one for you to try.
