The Hearts leather collar is exactly what it looks like. It's a collar to be worn by a person instead of a pet, for bondage uses, puppy play, or just for fashion and fun. This one has sturdy enough construction and the right hardware to actually be used with a leash. It buckles on, so there's no snaps to come undone if you pull on it and it does have a metal loop on the front for attaching things or looping nipple clamps on a chain through.

This isn't a heavy collar, but it will hold up to a lot of play. It has an o-ring in the front for tugging and leash play. Keep in mind that using a collar too roughly could choke someone. Be careful with your play sessions.

The collar is lined with soft, black suede which makes it very comfortable. The outside is black leather, I presume garment leather. Since this is real leather, it's definitely not vegan. There is red, decorative stitching on the front of the collar as well as in-laid red, leather hearts and circles in a cute pattern.

The hardware looks sturdy, particularly the buckle. The bondage loops are attached via studs that go through to the other side of the suede lining. I would've liked for them to be not exposed, and placed behind a lining but it's not a big deal. If you don't want metal directly against your skin though due to allergy concerns or the like, this may be an issue for you. According to the company website, they use chrome-plated steel for the hardware in this line of products.

As far as collars go, this one is pretty discreet. I'm pretty shy about my sexual preferences but I would still wear this to a goth club at the very least.

The collar is around twenty and a half inches in length total, measured from the buckle to the end. It's almost an inch wide all the way around with the buckle being 1 and 1/8" wide.






There are seven holes punched in the leather, so this collar will fit a fairly wide range of necks. If you need more holes, you could carefully punch more in.

It's fine for my needs. Tugging on it lightly, wearing it for the light pressure around my throat choker-style, and hearing the hardware clink is all awesome.

It's decently comfortable, and will probably get more so with use. The suede lining feels very nice against the skin. If I can't have fake fur lining, this is the next best thing.

The only thing that would make it better for me would be if it were shorter so there wasn't so much excess length curled around to the front when worn. That's only going to be an issue for people with smaller necks though. People with larger necks, rejoice! This collar will probably work well for you.

The packaging didn't come with any care instructions at all, which was a little disappointing. Other leather products I own have had some basic leather care tips.

If you somehow get this collar dirty, you can wipe it down with a damp cloth, using a mild soap if needed. According to a website on care and maintenance of kink items, if contact with body fluids you can use a mixture of 70% rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide to disinfect leather. Soak the affected areas, let it stand for a few minutes, then rinse and air dry thoroughly. Follow this up with a leather conditioner.

Store your collar in a cool, dry place.

The packaging isn't very discreet, but not exactly NSFW either. It comes in a plastic clamshell container with cardboard inserts. The collar is in the front, against a background of grey and red. It says "leather collar" and has a photo of a shirtless man wearing a different collar by the same manufacturer while holding an apple, next to an apparently amused woman. Yeah, I didn't get it either. According to the manufacturer website: "The H2H brand packaging aims to remove the image that adult product play is kinky or nasty or something that seedy people do. Instead, the merchandising and packaging shows the use of this product by an average couple as fun, exciting and joyful." Oh, okay then.

On the back of that same insert is some manufacturing information and a description of the collar:
"Sometimes you wear your PLAY! Collar to remind you of the power he has over your heart. Sometimes you wear it to play a game of master and slave. When he playfully attaches a PLAY! Leash you promise to follow him anywhere. Choose plain black or step up to the whimsical red heart inlay version. Both made of soft sewn leather with finished edges and sturdy hardware."

So, clearly this is geared towards actual collar play instead of just fashion purposes. I am hoping Eden finds and adds the solid black version, as well as the leash that was hinted about.

The back also states that the collar was made in Thailand, in case you're curious.

You could use the clamshell case as storage if you wanted, but I don't intend to.

As nice as it looks off, and as sturdy as it is for use, I just don't like how much excess material is left over when worn. I would trim it if it didn't have decorative stitching that I liked. I'm sure I'll get over it though, since the collar is just so darn cute and looks good on me anyway.

This collar was as comfortable on me as any vanilla, fashion choker I own. My neck didn't feel like it was being chafed or pinched at all.
