When I initially saw the picture on the box, I was excited and thought this product could be a lot of fun. The idea of having my husband in a completely submissive posture was erotic, since that rarely happens, and now we had to try it for research sake!!!
However, when I removed it from its packaging, I was disappointed by the quality of the craftsmanship. It looks hastily constructed with loose threads at nearly every seam. There is even a 1/8 - 1/4 inch area in the stitching where it looks as if there had been a mishap with the sewing machine and the bobbin. The stitching holding the wrist cuffs to the waistband is not very sturdy. It looks and feels as if the seams might part with one good tug. If it were used more than half a dozen times and managed to be completely intact, I would be surprised.
The waistband, leg straps (the ones that attach at the base of the pouch to the waistband), and wrists cuffs are black made of an elastic-type material called Elastabind. It looks like normal elastic, but is more comfortable against the skin and does not pinch or grab hair like regular elastic can. The support pouch feels like it is made of some sort of poly-blend material. It is very soft and even lined for maximum comfort. My husband said this when describing how it felt against his skin, "The pouch feels really nice. The material is soft; too bad there isn't more of it."
That brings us to the fit.
The waistband of this garment is 2 1/2" wide, 30" around and has the ability to stretch to 66", albeit uncomfortably I am sure. The cuffs are 5" long, and are 7" in circumference. I measured the pouch from the bottom of the waistband to the material's end and it comes in at a mere 8 1/4".
The box states, "one size fits most". I am giving my husbands measurements, so you can compare and decide if this product might work better for you or not. He is 73" tall and has a wing span of 76". He weighs in, just shy of 190 lbs. His waist measures 34", his wrists are 7 1/4" and his forearms are 8 1/2".
My husband had three major complaints about the fit of the garment. The first being the wrist straps. They are not graduated from your wrist to your forearm and they do not allow for much stretch since they are 5" wide. Within just a few minutes of having his wrists in the cuffs, he was complaining that his fingertips were going numb. When I inspected his hands, they were purplish; it was obvious when I looked at the cuff around his forearm that the Elastabind was entirely too tight. I realize the design of this product is to restrain and constrict, but I do not think it was intended to cut off circulation to the hands.
The second complaint was he felt like (and in my opinion, looked like) he was spilling out of the pouch - out the sides, out the top - into the waistband area, and out of the bottom. He kept trying to tuck himself in. I couldn't help but giggle at the site of him trying to stay contained and having no luck doing so. He wanted to make sure I mentioned that he is a grower, not a show-er and that he was completely flaccid during this attempt. We believe most men would have the same issue with the pouch and certainly those whom consider themselves to be above average in size.
His third complaint (and I hope this adequately describes our issue since it might not affect everyone equally) was when his hands were in the cuffs, he could not let his shoulders relax (he looked like he was shrugging his shoulders) because if he did his wrists would take the waistband down onto or below his buttocks, completely defeating the purpose of the jockstrap. Herein lies the problem, you see, his arms are freakishly long for his height. A persons wingspan is supposed to be the same as their height. My husband's wingspan is 3" longer than he is tall, creating an inch and a half shrug on each shoulder.
I compared this jockstrap to my husbands regular jockstrap to get an idea of just how small this product really was. I was stunned at the difference! See for yourself:
Sadly, there are no special features, such as a ring to hook a leash onto or a place on the underside of the pouch to tuck a bullet into. That would have been delightful.
His fingers were turning purplish? It's a NO NO in any BDSM situation. That usually calls for either a Safe Word or the Dom(me) immediately calling an end to the scene or a revision.
I'm sorry this didn't work well for you.
There are better restraints on Eden.
@LaUr3n, Please let us know if you have better luck! I hope you do.
