I've tried a traditional ball gag for my girlfriend before this, but it caused her some discomfort. When we tried this, it was a lot more comfortable. It also helped cut back on her moans, which was quite useful when we had to be quiet.

The usage is straightforward -- just insert the gag, and tighten the Velcro strap on the back of the gagged person's head. It can be used by people with small mouths, and it can be worn for an hour without discomfort. It can also be comforting, since it looks closer to a pacifier than the traditional gag. Unless you're into really hardcore play, it does a great job of keeping your partner quiet without discomfort.

The "Beginner Ball Gag" is a fantastic gag, although it's not perfect. I got the red/black model, and it's vibrant and effective.

The gag itself is made of silicone, and it's perfect. It's comfortable; the jaw fits over the large part, so you end up chewing on the smaller part. The outer flare helps muffle sound, and makes it rest more comfortably. It's also silicone, so it's hypoallergenic and damage resistant.

The strap was pretty good. It's leather, and it can be snapped onto the gag. There's a Velcro strap to change the size of the gag, so it can fit a variety of head sizes. That said, it's not the best quality. I kept finding flakes of leather that fell off it, and it's a bit skinny. My plan is to replace it as soon as possible.

The Beginner Ball Gag exceeded my expectations for a new gag. It's a fantastic deal, especially for something labelled "beginner." It worked better than a traditional ball gag for a muffling sound and jaw comfort. My partner could spit out the gag, but she had to work at it a bit. The straps are removable, so you could always get a bigger/smaller strap if you needed it.

The downside is that it makes my partner drool, but that's normal for her with any gag. Since your tongue is wrapped around the ball, it's hard to swallow the drool. Again, typical, and nothing you can't work around.

You can easily remove the straps and clean each part separately. The gag is silicone, so it can be boiled, sanitized, or washed with soap and water. The straps are leather, so you should wipe them down with water and a mild soap. Storage is within my toy box. It's not very discreet.

The package is simple, and contains cleaning instructions. Nothing really necessary, but it's straightforward.
