Great for aches and pains
A very cheap and effective way to soothe mild-moderate back and neck pains, although it is no substitute for a chiropractor if chiropractic work is needed.

Pros
Fits in your pocket, strong electrical pulses, bang for your buck
Cons
Intensity jumps quite a bit from one level to the next, rather than easing into the intensity
We purchased this toy without sexual experimentation in mind. I have had fairly strong pains in my upper back and neck ever since I crashed on my bike a few years back, and decided to try this given the price since it seemed to be similar to a device that the chiropractor used on me when I was getting treatment while my insurance would cover it. Although this device is in no way "chiropractic grade", nor does it claim any medical usages, it did perform exceptionally well, and eased a lot of the pain that I would get from time to time.
One big difference between this device and the device that the chiropractor office had was the intensity settings, as well as the size. This device will fit in your pocket, while the machine the pads at the chiropractor office were hooked up to took up half the counter top. This device has pretty big jumps in intensity between each level as there are only about 10 different levels of intensity whilst the one at the chiropractor seemed to be such a slight increase that you can hardly even feel it change from one level to the next as they up the intensity until you say it is comfortable. However, for the price, there isn't really anything to complain about. The intensities are varying enough and get rather strong, but with the small amount of levels and the large range of intensity, the jumps from one level to the next can seem pretty strong at times. As far as soothing pain goes, I was only pleased with a couple of the types of stimulation settings, as there are various settings for electrical stimulation much like you would find on a multi-setting vibe. A few of the settings like the roller-coaster style were almost to the point that they caused more of an annoying pain than soothing the muscles. That is understandable considering as the toy is marketed as a BDSM toy, and as such different people would prefer different sensations in the many different place, the toy can potentially be used, some being more painful than others.
The construction of this is amazing for the price. The pads last many uses if you take care of them and put them back on their plastic slides after each use. The wires can be disconnected from the pads for ease of use when putting the pads on or taking them off, or breaks between use without having to take the pads off completely and just disconnect the contacts. It also has an auto-off feature after 15 minute, as running any longer than that in any given session can potentially be unsafe depending on the usage. The size of the control unit is small enough that you can even use it out in public inconspicuously (that is of course if you don't have the settings on so high that your muscles spasm) under your clothes with the device along with any spare wire tucked into your pocket or handbag.

Experience
The first time using it, I thought that the device was broken as it would not do anything after turning it on other than a few of the icons on the LCD screen lighting up. My understanding is that this particular device seems to have a safety feature that if all of the pads are not firmly connected to skin and able to get the electrical link, they wont pulse at all; because after firmly pressing down each pad to make sure they were really on, it finally started to work. I haven't had a problem with it not starting ever since, as I always firmly press the pads on and make sure I have all 4 connected.

Interesting! So you were using this for "soothing muscles?" What exactly was your injury, if you don't mind me asking? I mean was it a muscular injury? I have wondered if this would have other uses besides just shocking yourself for fun because I'd be more likely to get it then. I have tried electrolysis and was not turned on by the shocks, so I just don't know if horny would be my reaction to this, but it'd be neat to try, especially if it is helpful for using on sore muscles and all. Thanks for sharing that bit of information.

Thanks for sharing I have this for my knee it was suggested by my physical therapist I showed her Eden an she said that this would do the trick since I didn't have the funds to get a medical grade 10s unit

@kendra, My injury consisted of a bicycle crash where I somehow managed to break my fall with my face. I honestly don't remember much of what actually happened of the event, moreso the aftermath. I was young enough that it wasn't severe enough that my insurance would keep me on chiropractic work, however it was bad enough for them to cover a few months of visits when I finally decided to go get checked out. Because I went in years after the fact, the muscles had become accustomed to being where they are and there wasn't a whole lot they could do with the short amount of time that my insurance would cover. My shoulders are still slightly out of alignment (in the mirror 1 is an inch or so higher than the other), and as a result my neck and upper shoulders become sore through regular day to day activities...

After reading what I posted, I guess I didn't quite answer the question completely, yes it is/was primarily a muscle injury, as there are no relative broken/fractured bones(that I know of) since I did not do anything to get it checked out until years after the fact. Just a misalignment that causes pain now.
