The Red Hot Blazing Love Clamps are best used, in my opinion, as a toy for foreplay. The two clamps can be used on nipples, labia (inner or outer) or even on testicles. The third piece can be placed against any part of the body you enjoy vibrations on. Really, the Love Clamps are good for anybody so long as you enjoy vibrations!!

As for beginners or advanced... I think both can really enjoy this toy. Beginners can use it to see how they like vibrational stimulation and see how they do with more than one sex toy item. Advanced users can include it in their foreplay/sex play and just plain 'ole enjoy themselves!

The clamps themselves are silver metal, with a plastic protective layer on the pieces that actually touch the nipples. Masochists may be annoyed by this. They are attached to solid penis shaped plastic housing that has the actual vibrator in it. It's pretty neat 'cuz you can actually see the motor going when it's on. Then there's the cord (pretty long cord) which is then attached to the hard plastic power pack.

It's all scent and taste free, and non porous. This toy is splash proof; so you can use it near water, but not in water.

Since it's non-porous it can all be sterilized with a 10% bleach solution or your favorite antibacterial toy cleaner.

The Red Hots Blazing Love Clamps are fully adjustable. When you hold the clamp in your hand, you will see a small screw coming out the top of it. (It's easiest to adjust when you're holding the clamp open.) Turn the screw and you will see it moving up and down. Moving it up (so the screw is not touching the bottom piece of the clamp) will make it tighter as it's not being held open by anything. Moving it down (so the screw touches the bottom of the clamp -- and you can do this a lot, so it will barely be squeezing your nipple) makes it bigger/looser so it will not be so tight -- which is nice for beginners and those with larger nipples.

It can take a little bit to figure out how you want these; it took me quite a bit for me to figure out what my nipples wanted from these clamps. That being said; they are super easy to use and with adjustability of these you can use them even if your nipples are more sensitive than usual; also you can make them super tight if you like pain.

The one control button is located on the power pack. On the upper right hand side (upper being the side with the cords coming out of it) you will see a little symbol. That is the button; though it looks much larger. This is a little annoying 'cuz you can feel the difference in material texture and you end up (well I do) fumbling around trying to find the actual button itself.

Vibrations wise, there are pulsating and steady vibrational patterns. They are surprisingly strong. The bad part is; the pads that protect your nipples from the metal absorb pretty much all of the vibrations so you're hearing it, knowing it's on 'cuz you can feel it in the vibrator cord but you can't feel it where you have the clamps. Though you can enjoy the sensation of being clamped, you don't really get the vibrations. Epic fail.

The vibrations are surprisingly loud; you will need covers, a closed door and a fairly loud tv or radio to mask the sounds. Also; if the cords are hanging freely they will bang together when turned on.
