I've never tried a bit gag before, but I have problems breathing through my nose. I figured that with the way this is made, it would be perfect for mouth breathing. I was right! If you like gags, but need to be able to breathe through your mouth, this is perfect. It's also great if you're into pony play at all. I've never really dabbled in pony play myself, but it's something I'm curious about, and this bit didn't let me down at all.

The buckle even locks on this bit gag, so once you have your sub in it, you can make sure they stay in it. It can probably be used for some pretty rough play, because the leather straps are nice and durable, and the bit is also quite thick. You don't have to worry about it coming off or breaking in any way, no matter how rough you decide to play with it. You should always use caution though, while using this toy.

This is a bit gag, made to look like a horse bit. The actual bit is made from rubber. This sadly means that it has a harsh rubber smell, but I didn't notice it too much. This might also be because I don't breathe through my nose. If you do breathe through your nose while wearing this, the rubber scent might be too much for you to handle. The only other problem I had was that since the bit is leather, when I bit down on it, there are little bite marks all over the bit. And since it's leather, there are little smudge marks on it that are white instead of the rest of the black leather.

On either side of the rubber bit are two large metal rings. The rings are about the size of my palm, and surprisingly, don't hurt very much when they're pressed against your face. I was also a little worried that the bit would have the same effect on me that it does on actual horses. Thankfully though, I didn't' feel like my mouth was being pulled back or anything like that.

Then there is a leather strap that connects the two metal rings. The strap is adjustable, much like a belt. It has a series of holes, and a locking buckle on it.

I really enjoyed this gag. I found it was extremely easy to breathe while using this gag. One problem some people might have is that this gag is also pretty easy to talk in. My talking was a little muffled, but if you're expecting your subs to stay quiet, this might not be the gag you're looking for.

One other thing I liked about this gag was that when I didn't want to wear it anymore, I just popped the gag out, and had it around my neck. My husband used it kind of like a handle to pull me up for a kiss. While you could just use a collar for that, it was convenient.

Be prepared for a drool fest though. I have a ball gag as well, and I drooled much more while wearing this one. I was on my knees, and when I turned around, it was just pouring down my face. If you're not a fan of that, you'll definitely want to skip this.

If you want to clean the leather straps, you can just use a damp cloth. Rubber doesn't clean well, since it's very porous. You can keep it clean with soap and warm water, but you can't share this toy.

I just keep this toy in my toy box with all my other BDSM gear.

I really enjoy using this gag. I bought it on an impulse, and found out that I really love it. It doesn't hurt my mouth as much as my ball gag does, which is great. Not only that but I think it looks really great.
