The Punishment Plug by Topco Sales looks fun and harmless. It's a jelly butt plug with a tail for flogging on the end. Kinda like a pony tail. See where I'm going with this? When I saw this toy, I thought it looked tame enough for a butt sex beginner and hey, you can also turn it around and whip someone with it - the insertable end becomes a handle and there are six inches of rubber strands of BDSM goodness waiting to give hot licks to the one you love. Gotta love a multi-functional product like this.

I chose red cuz I'm a little devil sometimes though this product also comes in black and is equally attractive. When I got the Punishment Plug in my hands, I felt quite confident this plug would be easy to play with. It's extremely lightweight. The insertable part is just over 3 inches and the diameter is 1 1/8 inches - this toy is not too intimidating looking. Also because it is made of jelly, the slip and glide is practically built in. Of course you still need lube and either water or silicone based is compatible. Let's go easy on our sphincters.

A few notes about cleaning - jelly can't be sterilized so not only can you not boil this item to clean, you should not share this item without wrapping it up every time. To clean in between use, warm water and toy cleaner is the recommendation. It is also recommended that you don't use strong soaps on the Punishment Plug and keep it in a cool dark place. Also, a side note: there was a definite rubber/jelly smell to the Punishment Plug, especially when you first take it out of the package. Fortunately, that has dissipated over time and with use and cleaning.

Let's get back to the fun stuff.

I played with the Punishment Plug on my own first and gosh, it's a cheap and easy date. Lube applied, it went in easily and felt pleasurable. The rubber tails licked away as I moved the plug in and out and I was aroused in no time. The trouble for me was, the plug doesn't stay in on its own very well. I took out one of my fave dildos to masturbate with, and darn if the second I came that red devil did not come shooting right out of my butt. I would have preferred it stayed in.

I tried a few more times to play with this product on my own and with partners and no luck. The base is too small and the jelly is too slippery. You sneeze and its pretty much on the floor.

We also turned it around to try out the flogging. As this is a dual purpose toy and you are effectively holding the handle that was just inserted in your butt as the case may be, I highly recommend always wrapping the toy when used for anal insertion.

I am an intermediate to advanced player when it comes to receiving flogging, and I just wasn't feeling it with this toy. For me the whipping was light, the marking faint. I recommend this item to those new to both anal and BDSM play. The price is right and it provides a fantastic and safe environment to explore.

I haven't played with the Punishment plug since this review, mostly I guess because I haven't had the cause to dress up like a pony!

As a fairly novice ass player, I thought this would be a great starter toy but found it too small and slippery to stay inside, especially when I orgasm. Having said that, I probably should have gone from something a tad smaller than my next plug, Sexy Spades Medium LOL cuz, well let's just say mama went right from the fat into the frying pan.
