This four foot leather and metal leash is a more than suitable guide for your sub. Whether yanking or gently leading, this one will take care of you and then some.

This leash is an advanced leash that is good for both beginners and advanced users. This is the first leash that I've gotten to physically take home with me and personally own, and it's a great first leash in that respect. Easy to store, easy to clean, good looking, and if someone found it, I could easily just say it's for my dog. That's the more advanced part. The more beginning leashes are made completely out of leather or neoprene. It's nice and good bit more kinky (I think) to have the chain on it.

It can also be used as a "mini slapper," which quickly became my favorite use of it. I like the quick bite of pain and then that rush of lust and endorphins. This is also a more advanced use of this leash. It's not something to be taken lightly, as it can cause some serious damage. You HAVE to be careful of the chain when using it in this fashion. You accidentally whip someone with the chain, and I have no doubt you can get blood on your hands or some gnarly bruises on your back pretty quickly. The leather part felt quite nice on my skin. It wasn't too bad of a sting because it's so short, but it's definitely enough to wake you up. And if your partner swings this bad boy with some extra room, delivering some chain with the leather, oi! You'll have enough endorphins swimming down your spinal column to last you a week!

The other more advanced use of this leash is strangulation play, which I was only recently introduced to. We usually use just hands, but this time, I had the leash attached to a D-ring on a collar. My partner was behind me and he just wound the chain around his hands and pulled tighter when I was about to come, and WOW! It's a definite step up from just using our hands. It was the perfect little edge of extra kink to throw in. I just want to warn everyone to be EXCEPTIONALLY careful when playing around like this. You have to have perfect communication with your partner and a clear and obvious safety signal. Life is too short for vanilla sex, but we don't need to make it shorter while exploring!

This thing is beautiful. I can't stop admiring it! I'm picky with my "accessories," and this one is such a lovely addition to my stash. I actually ordered the cone studs because all the rest were sold out, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the square pyramid studs awaiting me inside the packaging. The pyramid studs are a personal favorite and are really in season right now, so if you're a girl or guy that likes to keep up with fashion trends, this leash is gonna be your next staple.

The design is really good; I feel like it will last a long time, because it's made of leather and metal, some of the most durable materials around. Obviously, in fifty years time, the leather's going to be worn down and stiff and breaking, but for the next five or ten, you should be golden.

The thing with leather, though, is that it's clearly not vegan. Stunning, yes. Animal free, no. It didn't have much of a smell, actually, which I was expecting. You can smell that delicious leather smell if you get up close and personal to the handle, but not otherwise.

It feels really nice; the leather soft, the studs and chain silky metal. The inside of the handle is a little rougher than the inside, though, and it would have been nice to see it a little softer. No one's complained or even noticed except for me, so I suppose it's not too noticeable, especially for the males.

The chain itself is superb. I've had chains that are thinner and a lot more uncomfortable and painful to grasp. I find my hands twirled up in it often during play, intentionally, so it's important for me to have a chain that I can wrap around my hand comfortably. The links have rounded edges with flattened sections, allowing it to lay flat against your skin. It's silky smooth when I loosely wrap my hand in it and gives a good red raw pain when I cinch it tight. This is the perfect chain!

We've put a fair strain on this chain, and even tried to break it on our own, just to see how much it could take. We may just be complete softies, but it withstood a pretty solid amount of pressure. The only parts I would worry about are the two rings (much like the rings you keep your keys on) that connect the actual chain to the clasp and to the leather handle. I would think that they may bend and snap or splay open, but in order to do that, you'd have to apply a ridiculous amount of tension. Such a great amount, that it would surpass safe play many times over, so it shouldn't be an issue.

It's an incredibly sturdy piece; well worth the money. It fits well, and I believe it will fit all users. I've had no trouble using the handle, and neither have my male counterparts. I have the smallest hands on the earth, so I can safely say to all the petite girls, no fear! I did twist and wrap my hand around the leather once, but I feel more comfortable that way using any leash. Bigger hands will have no trouble here either, as there's a good bit of room to swim around on the handle. I don't mean that it's particularly loose, though. It's a well-balanced medium. The clasp will fit virtually any collar with a ring.

The one thing I noticed that you probably can't tell from the pictures is that the studs are only on one side. I assumed for some reason they'd be all around. It works really nicely though, so the studs don't fold over. It ends up giving you a nice smooth grip. I think I'd prefer the studs all around, but that's just a personal OCD tick. This leash is a classic. Don't pass this one up. It's fashionable, functional, dirty, well made, and great for use on male or female.

The clasp is also extremely sturdy. It's one of those metal clasps that has a spring in the bottom and you pull a little lever to open it. I never felt as if it would malfunction or somehow detach from the D-ring it was attached to. I've been sitting here playing with the clasp, and not once have I felt anything less than constant resistance. The bottom part of the clasp rotates, so no matter how much you squirm and turn, it's gonna be very tough to get this baby tangled. This is helpful because some of the cheap leashes I've used get tangled or you have to turn them in the opposite direction to get it straight again. It's just an extra mess you have to clean up, but subtle design ideas like this help to avoid trouble and keep you in the mood.

I noticed the previous reviewer mentioned that the studs could be of higher quality, but I think the studs are great quality (at least on mine). I've seen the exact same kind of studs on a $1,200 jacket. Unless you're intentionally trying to pry them off, they're not going to come out.

Seriously, this leash worked MAGIC. Let me tell you, MAGIC, my friends. It met my expectations and exceeded them. It looks nice in the picture, but once you receive this bad boy, you won't even be able to look at another leash without pitying the poor thing. If Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, or Rihanna were ever to buy one, trust me, this would be it. On the other side, this is a leash fit for a Russell Crowe or Joseph Gordon Levitt. It's sleek and sexy to any lover. More than that, it stood up to our tests of durability and stamina. This one will last you a good long time and a good hard fucking.

This leash is four feet long, which is a good length for most users. It was comfortable and easy for me to crawl around, say, a small coffee table without my partner moving from his original stance. The links, as I said before, lay flat, so it's quick and easy to shorten the chain. It's also really comfortable to have it wrapped around your hand, so there's no fear of pinching or chafing.

The weight is wonderful as well. I've come across a lot of leashes that are really light, and they feel like a silly joke compared to this thing. This is serious. It's not shockingly weighty, but it comes in at about a half pound. I really liked the sense of gravity (serious gravity, not Newton gravity) it lent to the situation. It wasn't play anymore, it was real. And believe you me, that turn of events will lead you in a whole new mind-blowingly pleasurable direction.

It's not a lint attractor or anything, so you don't have to necessarily take any precautions in storing it. However, if you do get something on the handle, you can just use a damp cloth and maybe some gentle antimicrobial soap and wipe it off.

The product was packaged super simply. There was a lot of brown packing paper to protect it. In the bottom of the shipping box, it was just sitting at the bottom in a clear plastic bag.
