Fun with Feathers
Don't overlook simple feathers for erotic sensation play. Sure they're not as flashy as vibrators and dildos. But they have their place as a sex toy. The Pleasure Feather allows gentle teasing and caressing as a warm-up. It's an inexpensive way to add some variety to your lovemaking.

Cons
Wrist band isn't as nice as a handle would be
The Pleasure Feather from Sportsheets resembles a small feather duster. It's purpose is much more enjoyable than dusting though. Feathers are great for light sensation play. Drag it along your partner's body or use a twirly pattern. Draw designs on your partner or subtly caress with it. It feels great on lots of erogenous zones including nape of neck, back, butt, legs, feet, face, belly, and breasts. It's also fun to alternate using the feather with other sensation toys. Try adding several toys with different textures for variety.
This particular toy is fashioned similar to a feather duster only smaller. Mine are a very dark purple, almost black, with smaller purple in a lighter hue at the bottom. The feathers are glued into a small plastic blastic holder. Under this is a wrist band instead of a handle to wear for easy use. The total length of the toy from tip to the wrist band is about 11 inches. Approximately 5 inches of that is the feather and it poufs out from the center to a maximum width of about 7 inches.
The wrist band ensures that you won't lose it while playing. If you let go, it remains on your wrist. It can be a bit difficult to grab it again, but at least you know exactly where it is. We have an ostrich feather that is easier to hold because of the handle. Even though this doesn't have a handle, it is still relatively easy to use.
Since the Pleasure Feather is small, it is best for close up play. By that I mean the partners need to be close together to use it. The ostrich feather we have can be used from a distance, but this needs closer and more intimate proximity.
We have had ours for two years, and it is still very nice. A couple feathers are bent at a weird angle, and it has lost some of the smaller fluff. All in all it has held up very well. I am still delighted whenever we use it.
You don't want to get any liquids on the feathers because that could ruin it. So keep it away from lube, massage oils, and bodily fluids. I purposefully didn't list genitals in the list of erogenous zones to try. Using it there (when aroused) might prematurely destroy the toy. It really works best as a warm up toy before things get heated up.

Experience
I resisted using feathers for many years. I am extremely ticklish and prefer firm touches to light caresses. In fact, I am likely to swat away a hand intending to lightly touch me. For some unknown reason, feathers really work for me. They allow me to feel soft caressing touches without the unpleasant ticklish sensation. I am very glad I gave them a try. If you're ticklish they may be worth a try. They just might surprise you.
Follow-up commentary

I love to play with feathers and this is a nice one. It has held up very well. I haven't lost any of the feathers out of it. The strap makes it convenient to use. It's always great for some fun sensory play.
