Flower Power! ....Not
The Flower Crop is a great addition to the average user's toybox. It is offered an amazing price, seems quite durable, and includes a unique design that you won't find anywhere else.

Pros
Cute colors, leaves flower imprint, durable, comfortable handle
Cons
Too freakin' flexible, Not as well-made as other Ruff Doggie Styles products
I'm an avid lover and collector of all products Ruff Doggie Styles, but I'm a little disappointed with the quality in this crop compared to their other products.
The Flower Crop is made from leather, nylon, and some really flexible material underneath that allows the crop to be more flexible than I expected it to be. The riding crop is twenty-four inches long with an almost-six inch handle and a two-inch long flower decoration on the end of the crop. The handle is made from nicely wrapped leather, and the wrist strap is made from some not-as-soft leather. The length of the crop is covered in a nylon material in a pink and black pattern, and the flower at the top is made from softened pink and black leather. Something to note: The little pink pieces of leather on the flower aren't actually attached to black piece fully - they are only connected at the base of each flower petal.
The little tag that comes with the Flower Crop comes off really easily from the handle. It includes information about Ruff Doggie styles, but no website. It includes a nice little description of the product itself that says that "she will like it". Not fond of the female-centric thinking, but it's still a cute little tag. It didn't smell like leather or anything when I had first received it.
My biggest complaint with this crop: The flexibility of it. While the other crops I own are flexible, this one is beyond flexible. It's flexible to the point that I feel that I'm not going to have control of where the crop lands or that the crop is going to break during use. It bends quite a bit (as you can see in the video). It really does bend to the point where I'm a little uncomfortable using it as I'm afraid things won't land where I want them to.
The boyfriend says that the swings don't hurt too much with this crop. They have the initial pain, but unlike other crops, it doesn't have any "aftermath" pain that normally accompanies a crop hit. It does flush the skin with redness in the shape of the flower, but you can't see the actual outlines of the little petals - it's just the overall shape. It also took one heck of a hit to get that to show up, and I was a little afraid I'd miss, so with regular play, you may not get the outline to show up.
It does have a definite sound to it as well. It sounds a lot worse than it really feels. It's something that could easily be heard through a closed door. Make sure to play lightly if people hearing it is an issue.
The handle is comfortable to hold in my hand. For a male wielding it, it may be a little too small since there isn't much girth to the handle. The handle itself is quite flexible as well, so when wielding it, the handle may not feel very "sturdy" in your hands. The handle is made of the same material of the entire crop, so there isn't much strength to it.
Cleaning is really easy with a crop made of leather. Since leather can get harmed by continued cleaning with antibacterial soap, I recommend just wiping it down with a washcloth and warm water. Make sure to dry it with a towel before letting it air dry. If you really want to take care of your leather and keep it looking healthy, you can find leathercare products in the shoe aisle of your nearest mass retailer.
Overall, I recommend this to beginners. Advanced users may take issue with how flexible it is. Since many advanced users usually play to cause pain, the abnormally high flexibility could cause a rough shot to be off of the mark and cause unintentional pain. However, for the average user who just wants to spice up their play, this works amazingly since it's a great price and appears to be very durable. Since accuracy isn't too big of an issue for an average user, this crop would work well.

Experience
Great crop, and I'll keep it around for the looks, but it just wasn't for us. For beginners, the light flexibility will allow you to use it pretty much anywhere around the body that includes fat. Only use it lightly though.
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
The Flower Crop is cute, but we've honestly been a little worried about it lately, so it stays out on the sidelines. It feels like the crop itself is pulling out of the handle which is unfortunate since it seems like the crop is just going to come out of the handle. While I'm sure it can be fixed with some super glue if it ever does come out, I'm just disappointed that it seems like it will.
When you hold the crop up horizontally, it disjoints at like a twenty degree angle because the crop part is falling out. It's saddening.
